This one came out of nowhere.

I identify Momos as being my favorite pizza place, and I was vaguely aware that they sold beer but I never went their for a cold one.

On a day I was feeling particualry down, I went to the nearby barbers for a trim and saw that they had moved to a new section of the building. after the trim they told me that Moms had expanded and I thought "Why not?"

I went in and WOW. the place had nearly doubled in size and had the longest bar-side table Ive ever seen (if you want to sit by the bar here you will not have ANY trouble)

The excellent smell of pizza meshes well with the now expanded beer selection. I ordered a Sweetwater seasonal that was at a price I could not refuse, and it got me out of a funk that had been eating away at me for 3 days....

it was that good of a beer...

So yes, Selection is decent and they chose excellent beers to stock...but I have seem much better selection at my other favorite bars...hence the lower rating for selection.

where this place really excels is in the food. If you love Pizza and beer, their is no excuse for your to go to this establishment. Best Pizza in town with some of the best beer in twon at excellent prices....

It even has cheap tallboys for people who really aren't into craft beer.

NOTE:
Happy hour is highly recommended (1 dollar off ALL draft beer)

Visited with my wife on a recent trip to Tallahassee.

Tried the following:
Deep Brewing Shallow End Lager (draft)
Tampa Bay & Mast Landing Hop Silo #9 - DDH NEIPA (draft)

The Hop Silo was a highlight of the trip while the Shallow End was very good. Restaurant tap selection was small but well curated. Didn’t see any of their house beers on offer; we gathered they were only available on the bar/brewpub side.

Had a Caesar salad and deluxe pizza slice (minus olives) for lunch; they were delicious. My wife liked her vegetarian slice and pints of Bell’s Two Hearted.

Comfortable and inviting atmosphere with some natural light coming in during the day. We enjoyed our cozy booth by the wall.

Service was strong as food arrived quickly and our glasses were always full. No complaints there.

Our overall experience was satisfying, and we would probably come back.

Very cool place....little pricey for their pizza, but the beer and ambiance was awesome. Can't wait to go back. Visited while checking out FSU for Hadley.

Great place to go and grab a pint and a slice. Momo's usually has about 30-40 beers to choose from not including their beers that they brew in house. Usually their beers are pretty solid. I really haven't had anything bad their. Also I highly recommend grabbing a slice. Momo's is known to have a pizza slice as "big as yo head."

Stopped by on a business trip to Tallahassee. Place is really chill lots of good help/service.
Pizza is being cranked out in the kitchen and is pretty good. I'm from NYC (area) and I know good pizza. This wasn't nyc pizza but pretty good! Just go with the reg cheese slice for under $4...its huge!
Beers are plentiful. Lots to choose from. They claim to have over 100, although they are pretty common, they ddo have some specials. I actually had DFH namaste on tap here! That was awesome. I have never seen it on tap.
Supposedly best place for brews in Talla so worth a visit for sure.

Note: its adjacent to a homebrew shop! Win win!!

As the previous reviewer has noted MoMo's is a great family oriented eatery which now has the added distinction of being Tallahassee's first dedicated brewpub in many long years! A move guaranteed to win my loyalty!

If you want great pizza at a reasonable price served with not only a great choice of craft beers (17 taps and many bottles) this is your destination. For some time now MoMo's has been our after bowling dinner spot for us and several friends of ours and all our offspring.

The brewery, which served it's first creations on September 25, currently offers two beers, the Inaugural Amber, a lovely clear amber ale with a great balance between crystal malts and hoppy bitterness and the Big Papa Porter, an American style robust porter bursting with dark roasted malt flavor. Never fear, while quality, the limited choice is short term only as more beers are in the works and the choices will be expanding.

After the brewpubs offerings there are at least 15 other rotating beers on tap at around four to bive bucks a pint, running the gammut of local Florida breweries like Pensacola Bay Brewery, Cigar City and Swamphead to national favorites like Stone, Sierra Nevada, Highland, North Coast, Left Hand, Smuttynose, Victory, Smuttynose and more with additonal selections in bottles. The website generally has a list of what's currently available. Look for the beer of the day which will be specially priced, usually around $3.50.

The establishment has two dinning rooms on either side of an open courtyard which has seating as well. During cooler weather the courtyard is prime real estate so arrive early. MoMo's has dedicated fans here so it can be a bit crowded at peak times.

As for the food, great pizza on thin hand tossed crusts and big calzones are the stars of the menu with a smattering of salads and other offerings pleasing to vegetarians as well. The pizza sold by the slice, at around five dollars and change, is probably the best value and we are talking a "BIG" slice of pizza. I'm a big guy and a single slice fills me up just fine. Honestly for a great selection of beer and good food at a reasonable price I can't think of a better place here in Tallahassee to bring my family.

A: This is definitely a family establishment, and, as such, the beer is not the main focus of the place. That being said, there is an overall good attitude towards beer here, with a focus on Florida micro's.

Q: Good food, great pizza, and, most important of all, great beer.

S: Wait staff isn't there there to talk you up, but to simply get you your food and pizza in a timely manner.

S: Roughly fifteen taps, and an impressive bottle selection. I have had the pleasure to try several CCB one-offs that never made it into bottles, and somehow escaped the Fermentation Lounge. They are also carrying plenty of the Pensacola offerings, demonstrating their commitment to local brews.

F: Their slices are delicious, with a flatbread style and delicious toppings. Their slices are gigantic, "As big as your head!" as their slogan boasts. I always get the veggie slice, but have tried some of their other offerings with satisfaction.

V: Their slices are about $5, and they always have a couple good brews for $4 a pint. Given the quality ingredients they use with their pizza, the fact that they somehow manage to hand-toss pies that big, and the commitment to quality beer, I would say that it is definitely a good value.
