On tap at the brewpub. Neutral aroma, the taste is malty with a bit of hops to complement it. It's a redish colour, with some white head and it's lacey. Passable drinkable, and necessary basic beer in this town. I would like a more hoppy version. Average mouthfeel.

This beer is topped by a wispy, ring of bubbles that hug the sides of the glass. The beer is a full copper color with reddish hues and it is a brilliantly clear beer. There is a light berry note in the aroma and this is accentuated by a light sweet note, perhaps there is even a bit of tartness to this beer, and there is some definite hop character in the aroma as well.

The taste has some nice hop notes in it; I get notes of herbs and a light, lingering bitterness, as well as some menthol like notes and a bit of orange-like citrus character. The malt mainly manifests itself as a sweet caramel note, which works quite well with the fruit character. This is a well balanced beer, easy to drink, but I like it a touch less than the Red ale, though it is damn close in like-ability. In the end the fruitiness is the note that stands out the most to me.

On-tap at the brewpub itself. On to the beer:

The color makes the style proud, being an amber color with a tint of orange color. Good doses of lacing is provided and clings to the glass. The aroma is slightly fruity and has a major toasted grain accent. In fact, the dominance of the tasted grain is more intense in the flavor of the beer. With that in mind, you could probably replace toasted bread in a meal with this amber ale. Very very toasty with brad crust and just a kiss of esters. It's a lighter/medium bodied beer that is easy to get down. The taste is A-Okay, though overall I found it too one dimensional.

Enjoyed on tap at the Brewer's Den. Pours a traditional amber, with a soft malty nose and palate. Insufficient hops to balance the malt, and the malt isn't out of this world. Rather ordinary, uninteresting ale but it may pair well with some of the pub fare.

I had this beer from the beer-engine at the Sonora Brewhouse Pub & Restaurant. I thought this beer very different from other amber ales I've had lately in that it was lightly sweet and hoppy, and the beer engine imparted a mouthfeel with a strong but fleeting appeal.

The beer poured a hazy but bright red-brown. The beer engine imparted very fine bubbles with a wonderful "boiling" texture that the beer engine imparts. Aroma was slightly sweet and hoppy (Centennial?), and very appealing. This beer tastes like an amber, and also had a pleasant hop flavor. Mouthfeel was fantastic at first, but after a couple of minutes it just felt flat. I also thought this beer was served much too warm. I thought this beer rather drinkable.

A standard, refreshing, sessionable amber ale. Lighter on hops, with a sweet malty base that lingers nicely. Average amber appearance, a almondy sweet smell, and an average mouthfeel with the proper amount of carbonation as well. Nothing wrong here, just a decent example of the style.
