This heavily Galena-dry-hopped summer ale is the very first recipe written 100% by our own Joel Carl. While there’s a heavy hand of malt involved, it’s met with a balanced hop profile, making it a solid, drinkable summer brew. Since our summers seem to last for half the year, you’re gonna need it.

Poured from the tap at the brewery. A very nice American Pale Ale, nice texture and a light brown/amber color. Excellent flavor and it is very satisfying.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a caramel coloring, with a halo of white film. Nose of nut sweetness, caramel, and sugary highlights. Very sweet aromas. Flavors are roasted forward, with a tangy sweetness, and subtle bitterness at the end. Smooth and light in mouth, with a tangy sweet aftertaste. The finish is slightly cloying, slightly dry. Interesting brew, almost leaning towards an ESB.

Pretty average amber ale. This beer could be like 4.5% and be more drinkable.
Sold as a summer beer, definitely drinkable, but at over 6%, it seems in 90 degree heat, the session would be a short one.
Worth a try, but don't expect too much
Color is amber, limited head, burnt caramel flavors

A: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a clear texture. There was a very small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing.
S: A fair amount of hops in the aroma, with some malt and grain as well.
T: Tasted of hops (a moderate amount), malt and some citrus (grapefruit) in the finish. A pretty solid, well constructed flavor. Very sharp.
M: A decent amount of carbonation with a dry, clean finish. Medium-bodied.
O: In general, this is well done, drinkable beer.
