Draft at Farmers' Cabinet.
Pitch black and completely opaque with a one finger light beige head that quickly settles into a thin ring. Minimal lacing.
Huge smokey aroma with a strong rauch/smoked beer character. Smells like a complete smoke bomb with lots of butane, ashtray, campfire, BBQ and smoked bacon along with subtle spice and dark roasted malt. Really smokey but there's also some burnt toast, dark chocolate, robust coffee and toffee in the nose.
Medium bodies with tight carbonation and an intense smoke flavor that lingers over the sweeter notes into a bone dry finish. Dry and slightly ashy with lots of smoke, charcoal and smoked meat. Although it's dominated by the smoke character, it isn't one dimensional with sweetness from booze and complex malt profile. Hints of robust coffee bean, dark chocolate, toast and oatmeal. Really nice smoke beer that's intense while maintaining delicate, albeit subtle balance.

Another interesting beer from the Cabinet Artisinal Brewery that was poured at the CBC. Missed out on the pink salt Gose, but had most everything else they poured. T
This one is a "smoked farmhouse ale".
Yeah it had a nice meatiness to it and a little tart funkiness, guess that works. I'm a fan of smoked beers, so I enjoyed it enough. That's the gist of this one, oh yeah, abv very well hidden, that is always noteworthy imo.
