Served in a Devil's Backbone willibecher.
The best beer I've ever tried? Strong words; let's see if it lives up... This stuff pours a clear sunset amber topped by a half-finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises straight barley, light toffee, miscellaneous greenery, and a touch of soil. The taste holds notes of dry caramel, greens, a twinge of tobacco, and a kiss of potting soil. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a kinda sad little red, one that seems to have issues with both malt bill and yeast choice. Not something I'm gonna be buying any time soon, nor is it anywhere near the best beer I've ever tried. Way to lie, beer, way to lie...

At the pub, it comes from the tap amber with a small head. Pleasant taste to the mouth and light scent in the nose. Easy to drink, despite it's strength level. A good warming beer before the storm hits!

Had a 22oz bottle in Quantico, Va. Not bad for a Red ale. Going to try some from the Tap at the brewery to get a better feel.
