Generally speaking, I like Scotty's. I like this location better than the downtown one, if for nothing more than you can easily park in front of it.

The previous reviewer noted the vibe here is a combination of sports bar and family restaurant. That's a good description. I like that. Each table has a TV, and you can switch the channel to whatever sports event you want to watch. The servers are young and cute and must pass exams about the beer.

Ah, the beer. They have a good selection, not great, but respectable. It's just overpriced. I somewhat object to paying $6.25 for a 23-oz. glass of Gumballhead. And if you go when they have a special on "domestic" beer, you know what they mean by domestic - not craft beer.

The food is good, not great. The menu is diverse, mostly fried bar food and Tex Mex kind of stuff. I enjoy it every so often but couldn't eat there frequently.

Anyway, it's worth going to if you're in the area and want access to a lot of kinds of beer and want to eat high-end bar food. I've had friends work here and speak highly of how they try to keep the quality high. I certainly appreciate that.

Our waitress was outstanding! She was very helpful & talked with us but, not too much. She knew the menu & what was at the bar. The restaurant was pretty busy. We got our table earlier than we were originally told - that was really nice.

Huge indoor and outdoor capacity. Bartenders on both visits seemed a bit "put out" just being there.

This is actually not a Brewhouse, like you'd think. Scotty's actual brewhouse is called "Thr3e Wisemen" and is located in Broad Ripple in Indianapolis. The vibe is in between sports bar and family restaurant. This location boasts Sun King, Founders, Bells, Upland, and they also have a nice bottle and rotating tap list. The service is pretty standard but the people are nice. The food is phenomenal. You really can't go wrong with their menu. I'd highly recommend this place. Perhaps they'll even have Thr3e Wisemen's beers their soon too.
