Murky cherry hued caramel brown. Tan head.
This one is almost too sour to drink at this point. Mouth puckering. Vinegar. Tart cherries. Some funk. A bit of brown sugar and spice.
Enjoyable, but a bit over the top after a few years in the bottle.

Very interesting but not great. Look is a murky auburn with a fast fading head. Orange brown at the edge in the light. The aroma has a pretty strong coffee element, some vinegar, cherry and leather. Oak & vanilla at the back end. Flavor hits with cherry up front and then a chocolate and dark fruit (dried plums, currants) before moving into a tannic and acidic phase. Finish brings back that coffee and roasted malt flavor. Acidity is present but never overwhelming. Body is medium, a bit creamy.

Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one at his tasting.
2013 vintage. Bottled 9/2013.
Pours a murky dark orange-brown with a foamy beige head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is sour with malt, cherry, medicinal, funk, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour cherry, medicinal, acidic, and slight plastic flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid sour cherry qualities, but the plastic and medicinal aspects detract from the drinkability for me.

Thanks to rudzud for sharing. 2013
Pours a nice fluffy smaller but rich bubbly head that fades at a med pace, nice lacing and great legs, murky dark mahogany brownish pond water color, little yeast sediment.
Nose lots of cherry, cherry cough syrup, cherry extract, sweet candy like with mild vegetal fermented molasses, a mild fusel alcohol. No bourbon or barrel really.
Taste is super tart, big sour cherry, super sour pickle level of sour, sour cherries and little cherry syrup, cherry juice even, with fair acidity, little candy malt base, touches of toasty vanilla barrel but no real bourbon, little malt vinegar. Finish is flemmy long sourness, nice cherry, little bready malt lingering.
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, little syrupy and decent carb.
Overall mixed, taste was very sour and nice cherry, aroma was very lackluster, overall lack of bourbon hurt it.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a clear very dark garnet hue with a thin sudsy head that fades to leave light wisps and nice legs.
S - Aromas of cherry reduction, cherry extract, cough syrup and vegetative fruit. No has no bourbon or barrel.
T - Taste is mouth puckering sour cherry, light malt sweetness, faint warning bourbon barrel notes, light vanilla. More fresh sour juicy fresh cherry than syrup. Not the usual dark sour.
M - Mouthfeel is a little thin lightly carbonated.
O - Overall this beer had some crazy ups and downs. Nose was awful along with the mouth but the taste was nice.
