incredible stuff, thought i had missed it all until some showed up at big beers. a far superior beer to either persica blends, the use of peaches is downright divine. not sure the obsession with hibiscus, we have seen it in four or five crooked stave beers now, and not always effectively, but it works wonders here. burnt orange color beer has a short lived but very lively white head and some haze. nose is sour funk all the way, heavy on the lactic end, with the flowers and peaches being much more subtle. i get lemons and mowed grass too, very fresh, very alive. the flavor is all sour on the front end, incredibly so, it prickles the tongue and puckers the lips, but soon the sweet peaches show up to make the mouth water in a whole new way. herbal floral elements soften the blow further, and the beer rounds out like a drinkable fruit beer. age has undoubtedly soured this further, but it has not hurt carbonation. this thing just sings on the tongue, and the finish is long and makes me want an endless supply of this. while i know thats not possible, i am extremely grateful to them for bringing this up to the festival. one of the best beers of the whole shebang.
