A - Dark deep brown with a big rocky head that is color of cola

S - Tons of Fresh raspberries. Slight syrupy sweetness. Tart lactic acid and sweet tarts make up a sour nose. Just an amazing nose you could smell all day

T - Really tart up front with lemon, oak, balsamic vinegar and a slight lactic acid. There is a ton of jammy raspberry as well that balances out the sourness. The finish is raspberry warhead

M - Light and effervescent with a lot of carbonation that lingers on the finish. Dry near the finish as well

O - A really good BA sour from Crooked Stave that is just overloaded with tart sour flavors and raspberries. Definitely happy I got to try this one

Appearance - rich dark dark almost oil like with 2 fingers worth of reddish/ caramel foam. Beautiful pour for a sour!

Smell - bitterly sweet tartness going on. Wow, lots and lots of raspberry as well.

Taste - PUCKER UP! Lots of tart going on and funk all over. Slight sweetness coming from the raspberries as well.

Mouthfeel - this one leaves your mouth and you are puckered up, but wow is it good.

Overall - this beer is NOT for everyone, but if you enjoy a sour this one was great. Cannot wait to see how this one will age a bit!

Bottled September 2013. Poured in to tulip.

A - Very dark amber/brown colour with a tinge of red. Opaque. A thin layer of light brown head formed and quickly disappeared without a trace.

S - Sour with a big oak presence. Raspberry, whiskey and a bready sweetness.

T - Tart raspberry flavour that doesn't overwhelm the other elements of the beer compliments a sourness that just restrained enough to not be puckering. The oak is fairly noticeable with the whiskey just showing up slightly in the finish.

M - Medium body. Dry. Light to moderate carbonation.
