Thanks to Francois for giving this to me as a thank you gift. Shared with rudzud and Ricky.
Light fizzy head, semi hazy straw watery color.
Nose mild peach, tons of butterscotch candy, buttered popcorn, fake imitation movie popcorn, little grain, hint of Brett funk.
Taste stats with a nice peach, canned peaches, then light funk and Brett, but again lots of diacetyl and buttered popcorn and worthers butterscotch candy. Finish is sticky tart and little flemmy, little peach, little diacetyl.
Mouth is lighter bod, lighter carb, flemmy and little slimy.
Overall a big let down. Seems like it would have been a great beer like the original, but that diacetyl just destroys it.

Bottle poured dark hazy orange color,
Smell of candied peach, sweet juice and citrus
Flavor of peach e o's, candy, metal with a tart finish.
Light carbonation, clean finish
Overall, not great, needs time to develop. Has a lot of potential, but was a bit disappointed

375 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Hazy pale orange. No head. Just a thin white collar.
Smell - Nice peach aroma. Slightly acidic. Light graininess. Mild brett, but more of a lactic acidity.
Taste - Bright tartness. Peach isn't as... peachy. Lemony tartness. Grain. Clean lactic sour finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium light. Pleasantly light and drinkable.
Overall - This is a far cry from how I remember the original Persica, but it's still very good.

Bright peach like coloring yielded a fizzy, bubbly but lively head.
The aroma was of sweet buttered popcorn, a caramel malt and then peaches and apricots. Not a typical blend but very easy on the nose.
The flavor held some sour tartness with a lemony cream, sweet caramel and toffee notes and a creamy butterscotch that had rich candies written all over it.
The feel was snappy and alive with the the high champagne like bubbling but it had a easy fullness.
I will admit that I'm a sucker for creamy caramel and butterscotch flavors and then to blend it well with a tart lemon, bravo!
