Imperial pint sized can with labled on sticker that says it's 375ml. Batch 1. Fridge temp.
Appearance- Slightly cloudy amber with no real head.
Smell- Bretty citrus, light citric hops, floral and earthy, apple and pear and lemon. Light woody/vanilla notes too.
Taste- Spice up front with green grapes/apple tartness. Light vanilla, and earthy spice mix well with brett dryness.
Mouthfeel- Heavily carbed, nice smooth mouthfeel, lightly tart, pretty dry, ho hint of the 8% alcohol.
Overall- A nice take on a Brett Belgian pale. Similar to Orval (though more sour). Gotta love that huge can

Appearance: Arrives with a hazy amber color capped by a nice head - good retention and lacing
Smell: Stone fruit, lemon, white wine grape and some funk
Taste: Fruity, up front, with pear, lemon, and white wine grape flavors joined by funk and lactic tones; the tartness grows in the mid-palate, where it is joined by spicy yeast elements; the finish has both sweet and sour elements
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Somewhat disappointed in this beer when compared to other Crooked Stave offerings; the clash between the vinous tartness, the sweetness and the Belgian yeast just doesn't work well for me

Buckeyeboy provided this at an impromptu summer tasting.. Thanks Jeremy. Pours a hazy light orange with a minimal white head and no real lacing.
Nose is bretty with plenty of background pale malt that sorta mutes things IMO.. a bit of a fruity estery note that combines with some minor sour element that reminds me of apricots.
Flavor pretty much mirrors the aroma... sweet/tart thing going on... is a bit muddy and seems soft and on dimensional despite the brett and fruity esters... not very well done given the good portfolio I have had from CS in the past.
Body is heavy for the style and even more so given the brett... Okay, but 3x geeks didn't jump to be the one to finish the bottle.
Thanks again Jeremy, but this was pretty flimsy.
