On tap at the Source into a snifter (also some notes from a 375 ml bottle).

A-The beer is murky and pale-honey in color. There is some fine carbonation visible in the glass that supports a thin (maybe a finger) head of dense, white foam. No lacing.

S-The aroma is lightly tart and juicy with some apricot flavors, a mild funk, and a bit of brett. Sourness is very low (for a CS beer) and there is more dough and pale malt than I would expect.

T-The taste is similar to the smell with a light tang of apricot and lemon, but no real sour punch or vinous complexity. It is a bit musty and earthy with a light funk that has a little brett fruitiness underneath. The flavor is very doughy.

M-The feel is medium heft with a pleasant amount of carbonation. Despite the carbonation, the beer has a sort-of slick feeling.

O-This is a decent beer that drinks easy, but will not blow your hair back with complexity or intrigue. No one flavor really stands out. For a beer packing 8% ABV it is easy to drink, but for a beer packing 8% ABV, I would like a little more flavor.

RB

Buckeyeboy provided this at an impromptu summer tasting.. Thanks Jeremy. Pours a hazy light orange with a minimal white head and no real lacing.

Nose is bretty with plenty of background pale malt that sorta mutes things IMO.. a bit of a fruity estery note that combines with some minor sour element that reminds me of apricots.

Flavor pretty much mirrors the aroma... sweet/tart thing going on... is a bit muddy and seems soft and on dimensional despite the brett and fruity esters... not very well done given the good portfolio I have had from CS in the past.

Body is heavy for the style and even more so given the brett... Okay, but 3x geeks didn't jump to be the one to finish the bottle.

Thanks again Jeremy, but this was pretty flimsy.
