2014 375 mL bottle, into a tulip glass
Well, been sitting on this bottle probably a little too long. Didn’t realize it was dry-hopped, and the floral aspects from the New Zealand hops have long sits passed into the ether. That being said, funk and lactic acid have stood up nicely, making it a tasty beverage. Nose is quite lemony, plenty of horse-blanket to boot. Unripe berries on the palate, oak aging rounds the profile. Tasty…will give it higher marks than I otherwise would have given this should have been consumed years ago.

Big thanks to dujayhawk for this bottle! Reviewed from long-standing notes. Poured from 375 mL bottle into a Cycle Brewing goblet.
A: Hazy but glowing gold, with average visible carbonation and a thin white head that fades quickly.
S: Citrusy hops, Brettanomyces farmhouse and pineapple, and citric plus lactic tartness. A wheat gritty malt on top of a bready yeastiness.
T: Orange and grapefruit, tropical and pineapple (I think more from the Brett than hops). Brettanomyces mustiness and funk with a punch of lactic tartness. Wheat and biscuit malts, mild oaky tannins and nice yeastiness. A lemony dry tart finish with some farmhouse earthiness.
M: A light crisp body, good carbonation sensation and low alcohol presence.
O: Really an enjoyable beer. Strikes a nice balance between the tartness and other flavors here. An easy pleasant drink.

This is a Crooked Stave offering, which means that the flavors are basically a copy and paste operation of a few base beers. This one is a dry hopped take on a shelf beer. The result is an earthy finish.
The best part about this bottle was the wax seal.

375 mL bottle. Bottled September 2014. Hazy orange. Medium white head. Funky and oaky aroma. Tropical and grassy hops. Tastes tart and lemony. Strong orange and grapefruit. Dry oakiness in the back end. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Delicious. I thought maybe it would have lost its hoppiness and maybe it has, but it's still got a great hop flavor.

12 oz bottle, 2014 batch, "Aged" in my closet "cellar" at room temp for about 1 year. Served 46F in a tulip.
A: looks really nice. pours out bright, hazy orange with a small, lingering just off white head, nice lacing on the glass.
S: Citrus orange/cantaloupe, black pepper, hay, earth, wood.
T: starts slightly tart, sour orange juice, lemon pith, wood characteristics, hay, earthy mineral quality as well. There is a bit of flower/pollen note, slightly bitter like faded hops. The towards the end of there is a rotten, bitter melon or rubberband note that is assertive not unpleasant.
M: medium body but slight creamy mouthfeel and a good amount of spritzy carbonation which complements the flavor nicely.
O: overall a funky, complex farmhouse ale with a lot of flavors going on. Definitely glad I tried it, not sure that I would seek it out a again. Please note that my cellaring at room temp may have brought out the funk more than a fresh example.

Hazed golden orange, 1.5 fingers of white head, some lace. Smell is a mix of fruit and acidity, orange and lemon, tropical fruits, oak as well as musty and fruity. Taste is quite tart and first with a lightly puckering acidity, dry fruit and oak, vinous and hoppy with orange and tropical fruit, lemony acidity and a long drying finish. Lightly carbonated, medium body and lightly creamy feel. Absolutely exceptional and something I would imagine was even better super fresh but still really good at its current age.
