The pour is a hazy golden color with a tall white head. The nose on this beer is phenomenal. Earthy tones, bready malt, biscuit, and intense pineapple aroma. A touch of citrus and straw, but just so much pineapple. The flavor has a nice crisp malt profile, minimal bitterness, citrus peel, and an overwhelming pineapple flavor that is just amazing. A touch of yeast, maybe some earth on the palate as well, but just overall a solid beer.

Served in a snifter. Beer is yellow and hazy with a big white head of small bubbles, some lacing, good annoyingly good retention, a lot of these crooked stave beers were overcarbonated. Stiff peaks.

Aroma is a grassy brett-i-ness that is really good. I really liked the aroma, oaky and fruity with some funk.

Beer is light in body, carbonated a lot on the palate, aggressively yeasty, strong on the finish. Mildly hoppy but mostly grassy and earthy. An interesting brett beer, pretty enjoyable.

Thanks to drabmuh for sharing this bottle. Served in a SAVOR wine glass.

Bottle 227/838

Pours a clear, sparkling yellow color with a very large, creamy white head that lasts around for quite some time before eventually falling to a cap, leaving a sheet of lacing on the glass.

The nose carries some mild funk and pineapple character. Light lemon and citrus in the background. Good Brett throughout. Flavor has a light funk and bitterness.

Body is light with moderately-high carbonation and a very dry finish. Nice and funky. Really great finish.

Another solid hit from Crooked Stave. Would love to try this one again.

750ml into a couple of tulips. The brew appears a hazed golden color with 4+ fingers worth of bubbly white head. Thick patches of lace stick to the glass. Rising bubbles of carbonation maintain the cap.

The smell is fresh and grassy with fruity and floral hop quality that turns to lots of bretty character. Wet leather and earthy tones overtake the hop quality as it gets warmer.

The taste is herbal like garden herbs/veggies. Dank and weedy with leathery brett flavors and cardboard. Somewhat tart and fruity with a wild alcohol inclusion. A strange spicy aftertaste lingers in the mouth that clashes with the rest of what is going on in this brew.

This is a medium bodied offering with a modest level of carbonation. The alcohol inclusion gets progressively more bold and aggressive as the experience continues. Its overall an "OK" brew that I just dont get/understand. It is palateable when cold but as it comes up to temp, it becomes a chore to drink.

Pours a very hazy golden color with infinite amount of head. The head literally just continues to grow, seemingly out of nowhere for a couple of minutes. The smell reminds me of orval, lots of brett funk up front with some hoppy bitterness behind it. As I continue to smell it, I get more and more tropical fruits, some pineapple left to rot in some wet hay in the back of a horse stable. Really well balanced on the nose. The taste is more of the same, with just a touch of malt sweetness and a medium bitterness. Really complex brew. The mouthfeel definitely light which I have come to expect from brett beers. Overall a really solid brew, especially if you like the funk. This is the second bottle I have had and I might pick up one more while they last.
