Yes, I am a CS homer

As far as Raspberry type lambic this goes:

1. Framboos
2. Hommage
3. CS Batch 1

A- Deep dark raspberry jammy looking. Minimal lacing, minimal legs.

S- Smells like Framboos to me. Jammy raspberries with funk. Tart raspberries. So good.

T- So this tastes like a thinner (just by small percentages) and a bit more acidic Framboos. This is very well done. Big raspberry upfront, nice tart acidic in the back. Love it.

M- For a domestic, the mouthfeel is pretty good. Compared with Belgium, it doesn't quite hold up. Not off by much though. I am going off of thickness, carb and overall mouthfeel. Best domestic raspberry sour that I have had.

O- Clutch Crooked Stave offering when I have been mailing everyone that domestic sours have nothing on 3F and Cantillon. This is up there.

Batch 1 brewed 1/10/10. Thanks for sharing, colonelforbin!

A: Pours a murky opaque cranberry brown with a short lived light brown head that faded into a bubbly collar.
S: Super fresh and tart smelling nose with notes of barrel must, dry oak, and brett, along with a surprising amount of raspberry fruit and earth. Oaky, woody, mustiness and raspberry definitely co-dominate.
T: Tart and slightly acidic notes of raspberries and drying bretty funk hit first. Raspberries are puree-like and very fruity, which I found surprising for being four years old. I also get hints of slight cherry, cranberry, blueberry, and raisins. The finish is tart and lactic and aftertaste is puckering, dry and lingering with raspberry.
M: Drying mouthfeel with a decent amount of countering buttery oak. Oak tannins are gritty and clingy. The carbonation is low and splashy.
O: Very funky and earthy with great brett and raspberry character. Glad I got to try this one, thanks again Mike!
