375 ml bottle, 2012 batch. Pours dark brown with a small tan head that quickly goes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet and tart fruity sourness.
The flavor is sweet and tart fruity sourness with a little oxidized roasted malt. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall, similar to the brandy but more oxidized with less vinous notes. The sweet and tart fruity sourness dominates in both though. Again, too sweet for me.

Sampled from a 375ml bottle in my DFH snifter. Thanks surge1311!
A - Black with no light coming through and a small tan head that dissipates quickly.
S - Very interesting with funk, tartness, dark fruits, oak and even some tropical fruits. It really blends together nicely.
T - Quite tart with an underlying contribution of cognac and dark malts. It's not at all what my palate expected. It's pretty good but I'm not sure it comes together properly. And I don't think the cognac adds to it.
M - Moderate consistency and carbonation with a firm pucker factor.
O - The platypus of beers.
