From 375 ml bottle into a tulip (tasted two bottles).

A-This beer is bright, sunshine and straw in color. Quite murky. The head is nearly white, dense and about one-finger tall to start. It drops quickly to a collar.

S-The smell is sweet, with mild orange and tangerine notes. The is some lemon, too, and while the wheat is spicy as you would expect from a wit, it is milder than most. The brett funkiness is muted, but noticeable.

T-The taste is less sweet than the smell, with more power from the citrus and spice. The brett is only slightly funky and it accompanies some wheat, cereal, and bread dough. The taste is not too wild, but this is definitely not a normal witbier.

M-The feel is light to medium body with a smooth opening and a little roll of carbonation. The finish is pretty clean and dry. This is quite drinkable.

O-This is a nice twist on the typical witbier. The brett is funky, but understated (which is nice in this day and age of huge brett). The tangelos add just a little bit of refreshing sweetness to balance the funky brett and slightly spicy wheat. I'm not sure I would drink this over a good wit (like St. Barnardus), but I certainly could do worse than this on a nice spring afternoon like today.

A: A pale golden beer with a light haze. The rocky white head is long lasting.

S: a medium citrus and pepper aroma with the citrus being more real fruit than yeast derived in nature. There is some citrus zest a light wheat sweetness. A low barnyard aroma.

T: A dry, beer with a medium bitterness. There is a light hops bitterness with a medium citrus zest bitterness and a moderate spice. The balance is moderately bitter with a dry finish. The aftertaste is of a city's peel bitterness. There is a moderate oak character to the beer.

M: A medium light bodied beer with a strong level of carbonation.

O: I really like this citrusy, dry beer with a moderate Brett funk and a medium bitterness. There are lots of classic light fruit and spice with a moderate barrel character.

Bottle shared by my buddy Mitch in colo. Allowed to warm up for about 25-30 mins.

Pours hazed lighter tangarine. looser off white head. Stays at the 1/3 inch level for a good long spell. Leaves respectable strands of fine lacing.

Lemon, grass. tea and some barnyard funk in the nose.

Super flavorful wit/saison/what ever you want to call this offering.

Large brett character, heavy lemon, quite tart/puchering w/ a continued biting sour note

The final yeasty pour adds a nutty, grapefruity, funky yeast experience that is not to be missed

No doubt this is serious beer, funky cheese?

One of the bunch of first CS beer I've tried and they have not disapointed.

Appearance - straw yellow that is very light with a thin bubbly head

Smell - very tart and citrusy. not as tart as other CS beers

Taste - sweet up front then a great tart twist at the end

Mouthfeel - well carbonated and leaves a nice dry flavor on your tonuge

Overall - 2nd favorite St. Bretta and quick simple fun beer to enjoy
