Poured from the bottle into a pilsner style glass.

An absolutely crystal fourteen carat gold body, flowing with at first small cola and then pin head rising bubbles. Foamy, soapy head with lots of retention and a big cap, it just wont quit, you can make an ice cream top on this brew. It looks fabulous, even manages some soapy scattered lacing.

Great dry malt and dense bread action. Smells like a true beer. Faint sweetness and some grass like floral hop. It smells very inviting.

Taste at first in the palate seems down played, but the body comes with a thick dense malt and slight honey without a lot of sweetness or syrup. Finish hits with a floral and honey density with an almost creamy moutfeel. Dry baked white bread with honey on the aftertaste. Not that crisp but I prefer this density.

This is a wonderful dense pilsner and I like it's balance of sweetness, hop and dense malt. I rarely ever see this beer here, and I wish it would show up more often, it's fantastic, it might even be my favorite from the brewery.

500 ml bottle purchased from the Copenhagen convenience store down the street from the hotel I'm staying at.

Served fairly cold into whatever glass I could find.

Appearance - clear golden color, a little on the pale side with a nice finger of head that subsides but leaves a nice soapy residue. Good level of carbonation. Good lacing streaks all around the side of the glass.

Smell - nice floral and grassy aroma. Some mild grainy notes, but everything works in cohesion brilliantly.

Taste - similar to the aroma, clean and crisp with mild grassy and grainy flavours. Very tasty and well constructed pils. Nice bitter taste throughout.

Mouthfeel - clean and crisp and nice dry finish. Moderate level of carbonation.

Overall - really fine German pils. These guys can't do anything wrong.

11.2 oz bottle poured into a Rastal 0.2l pokal glass. Batch 5034.

Appearance: Clear gold color with a persistent thick white head. Lots of persistent thick strands of lacing.

Smell: Floral with some mild fruit like notes with a deep inhale. Not strongly aromatic.

Taste: Quick hit of crisp bitterness up front, then a cracker-like malt middle, and then a lingering noble hop finish. A hop forward pilsener.

Mouthfeel: Sticky and maybe a little oily on the teeth with good carbonation and a dry finish.

Overall / Drinkability: A full flavor pilsener, but perhaps just above average although high marks for appearance. However, it is a very drinkable beer. Like many German pilseners I've had, I feel this one is engineered to be drank in high quantities and go with a wide range of food, which in this case was pizza. I could easily have another one as everything together works well and it compliments/accents food, but doesn't get in the way.

A: Straw gold with a massive white head.

S: Stuffy Pilsner grainy smell. Some off smells as well.

T: Has a delicate light fruitiness with a bitter finish. Leaves a papery tasting breath of air in the mouth. I suppose it's reasonably bitter for a soft Pilsner. Not very effervescent.

O: Yawn.
