A - Hazy pale orange color, mild carbonation, very tight lacing.
S - Very delicate and light aroma with some citrus. That's it.
T - Bright citrus bitterness from start to finish. Lemon, lime, mild grapefruit, yeastiness, lingering fruit bitterness.
M - Light medium prickly carbonation and semi-dry.
O - Crisp, fruity, hoppy. Not at all what I wold expect from this respectable German brewery.

On tap at PreFunk. Nice looking pour (wrong glass), soft creamy head, normal weizen banana, bubblegum and clove aromas, but something seems amiss in the taste, slightly sour. Body also a bit thin, close, but no cigar. Shame to sully the Weihenstephaner with this mediocre outing.

On-tap at Waterfront Ale House, New York, NY
A: The beer is a little hazy and a little ale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down, but consistently left a short head covering the surface.
S: Light aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose—lemongrass seems to stand out in particular—along with some hints of earthy hops.
T: The taste has notes of citrus—limes seem to stand out in particular—along with hints of wheat and spices.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carnation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and has some refreshing properties. The use of Comet hops makes this a lot different compared to the regular hefeweizen as you don't get the typical banana-like aromas and flavors that you would normally expect from a beer in this style.
Serving type: on-tap
