Glass: Hefeweizen Glass.

Appearance: Beautiful, hazy, amber colored beer. A huge billowing, fine, soapy, cream head appeared and lingered for quite some time.

Smell: Ripe bananas, slight tart quality. Maybe some alcohol. A bit metallic.

Taste: Bananas, a bit of a metallic / chalky / sour taste. Almost like the funky nuttiness you get from some coconut waters. Buttery, perhaps?

Mouthfeel: Very full. Syrupy. Sticky afterwards. A bit much for me.

Overall: Decent, but the thick mouthfeel, taste of alcohol, and metallic notes keep it from being great for me.

A: poured from a 550 ml bottle into a weizen glass, golden colored with a huge fluffy white head that dissipates leaving some lacing, cloudy

S: banana heavy up front, clove, coriander, spice, yeast

T: banana and clove again, yeast, grain, spice, sweeter

M: quite creamy with heavy carbonation, slight alcohol

O: an excellent weizenbock, heavier flavors than the heffe with more of an alcohol presence, the banana flavor is most pronounced
