Poured from chilled bottle into weizen glass

A- Really fluffy billowy head with lots of big and little soapy bubbles effervescing and crackling. The head slooowly fell down and gave way to a nice golden hazy beer. It was a little lighter than I expected, but it's not a dunkel.

S- Smells strong, but, the smell is not really alcohol. It just smells like a nice strong, hardy German beer. Tart, fruit, yeast, banana bread, pair, a hint of cinnamon and warm apples.

T- Much like the smell, nice yeasty flavors, a little spice, some coriander?

M- Nice, thick, chewy, full bodied beer.

O- A nice representation of the style. It's full bodied and has some kick behind it. It has a nice complexity to it while not going over the top, as it is in my opinion that some of these weizenbocks are a bit too intense with the flavors. The beer is well balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Also, it is a great deal for an import with a higher ABV at only around $3-$4 a bottle.

A: Poured out a very cloudy golden color. Two fingers of off white head. Solid retention but not too much lacing.

S: Mostly notes of banana and clove.

T: All of the qualities of the nose with a subtle lemony hop background flavor.

M: Medium, creamy body with a champagne-like carbonation.

O: I was thoroughly pleased with this one. It was a bit on the sweet side, but a great beer through and through. Solid in every category.

Poured into a tulip glass, produced a large soft dense creamy white head over a pale yellow gold beer that is very cloudy. Retention is great and lacing is very solid. 4

S – a very full aroma of fruity yeasty notes, bright stonefruit, lime, lots of full creaminess from the wheat. Mild spices, a slight bit of earthy mustiness on the yeast, allspice, mixed with cooked apples, but also fresh florals. 4.25

T – big flavour on this! creamy soft fruits, big banana and some cherry, bubblegum, some restrained grainy sweetness and nice florals, bright yeast character, a mild bitter spiciness and bit of earthy cumin and citrus florals, a pleasant fruitiness on the finish. Finishes full and then a tingling dryness. The complexity and balance is pretty amazing. 4.5

M – moderate creamy body, lovely soft feeling, light-moderate carbonation. Lots of creamy fullness, no alcohol presence. Balance is wonderful, just enough bitterness and slickness on the finish, delicate. 4.5

This has so many elements to it and theyre all woven together really nicely, complex spiciness with an earthy element, bold but balanced and tons of intricacies make this a real pleasure. One of the best Ive had in awhile. Enough tartness to counter the creaminess and still has a lot of liveliness to it, and it leaves you wanting more. 4.5
