12oz. bottle poured into a snifter.
(A)- Pours the lightest color I have ever seen for a Marzen: a clear but very pale light yellowish hue. Some great white froth formed with solid retention and lacing.
(S)- A very light lemon / grassy graininess that quickly follows with a smooth yet even lighter honey-like sweetness.
(T)- Quite similar to the smell. A light graininess with a touch of yeasty lemon follows into a smooth honey-like sweetness.
(M)- A great carbonation level and crispness to it, though quite light for the style. Very low bitterness and a good refreshing quality to it.
(O)- Easily the lightest example of a Marzen I have encountered, almost a borderline Helles. I just barely see it in the grain profile, but just missing that slight tip towards a nuttier/richer malt region which I love so much about this style.
