A: pale straw, perfectly translucent; fluffy eggshell head; fades with clingy foam; sudsy persistent lacing, sometimes scattered or scant
S: light and pure malt, undertones of yeast, honey
T: per the nose, it tastes of honeyed malt and gentle yeast, and a faint aftertaste of grape and apple
M: silky smooth, light-bodied but with presence, barely dry in that your palate is continually whet for the next pull
O: There is simply nothing off, or in need of improvement about this beer (with the minor note that I would enjoy more lacing from an aesthetic standpoint as the glass drains: really, that's it). It's a masterful example of its style, near-infinitely drinkable and easily paired with chicken, veal, noodles, vegetables, sausage ...

On tap @ Library Alehouse.
A: Pours a clear pale yellow with a half-inch thick white head which fades to the rim leaving spotty lace.
N: Grainy, yeasty, faint lemon citrus, grassy/hay, spring freshness.
T: Mostly follows the nose while being crisp and nicely clean.
M: Light body and semi-medium carbonation. Smooth, yeasty and grassy finish.
O: Easy drinking. I have to ask myself, self - why haven't you had this before???

Poured Weihenstephaner Original into a mug.
A - Pours a bright clear golden with a finger of white head.
S - Some light bread, biscuit, malts. Faint hops and some skunk.
T - Light malts, more bitter hops in there as well. Mid palate getting more bread and light malt flavors. On the aftertaste just a pinch of bitter hops comes through.
M - Smooth with medium carbonation with medium to light mouthfeel.
O - A good Helles. Enjoy! Cheers!
