Although German beers aren't always my favorite I still like to have one every once and awhile. They're almost always light and refreshing thanks to the Reinheitsgebot! It was another dinner with pizza and another time to have something light to go along with it that would balance away the spice in the pizza but not be too heavy.
The hefeweissbier poured a thick and very bubbly white head that gave promise to having a good beer session. It's color was a cloudy yellow that was a little more of an amber color in the middle but around the edges was more yellow in color.
The smell was very yeasty with a hint of citrus.
The taste was less full-bodied than I thought it would be but it was very refreshing and light. The yeast could be tasted throughout with lemon-citrus being less prominent. Banana and clove flavors also made themselves known but were slight in strength.
This is a very good hefeweissen auf Deutschland!

I had previously had this bottled, but the on tap version was spectacular. The only thing I could complain about would be the price, but for a beer of this quality to a wheat beer lover like myself, it was worth a few extra shekels. I would order this anytime and anywhere!

16.9oz bottle at 41 F poured into pint glass. Bottle code is 3363, but I don't have a clue what that means. I would probably guess early December 2013.
Pours cloudy golden with a big white head that dissipates quickly, lots of carbonation. Smell is banana, clove, fruity, yeast, bread, lemon. Smells good.
Taste is all of those things but muted and mild, maybe a little too watery (which may be right for the style, and just out of my preference), but really an excellent combination of flavors.
Mouthfeel is thick, creamy, and satisfying, while somehow still light and airy. Overall, excellent beer.
