I've been looking forward to trying this one for awhile.
A- This poured into my Erdinger Weissbrau glass a slightly hazed yellow with a tinge of orange at the top. A massive 4 fingers worth of bright foamy white head. Some mountain looking lace left behind after this gets settled down. Lots of carbonation visible.
S- Strong aromas of banana, clove, and peppery spice. Bready, yeasty and a little citrusy as well.
T- This is probably the strongest flavor of banana that I've had in a Hefe and it's present throughout. All the other aromas mentioned in the nose are present in the taste, but they're toned down. There's a hint of bubblegum that comes in at the middle and rounds this out.
M- A light-medium body. Carbonation isn't over the top, but just enough to tingle the tongue.
D- Long before I really got into craft beer I remember trying a Hefeweizen and damn near spit it out. I think if it was Weihenstephaner's Hefe I would of been converted much quicker, this was gone in no time flat.
