Paid $1.99 for a half-liter bottle...
The beer pours a hazy golden base with a very large white head, the head becomes lumpy and is visually stunning. The retention is phenominal and the lacing is very nice. The aroma was solid with tines of yeast, malt, banana, lemony goodness.
The taste wasn't strong but the smell gave away what was in my mouth, all of the above, but including cloves and honey? The mouthfeel is an good as it gets, this didn't feel like a beer in the mouth. The drinkability is also exceptional, a 5.4% is so smooth, this feels like a light hefe...
Final Thought: Very impressive beer, this and Franizkaner are the leading Hefe's in Germany.
