This is the beer I want when I want a hefe weizen.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Hefe glass. Always save that last little bit at the bottom of the bottle to swirl around and get that yummy yeast at the bottom. Pours a hazy yellow with a full head. Minimal lacing.

Smell is banana nut bread goodness. Bananas, clove, biscuits, nuts.

Taste like it smells. Very well balanced. Delicious from start to finish. Yeasty.

Mouthfeel is very thick and perfect carbonation.

Overall this is and has always been one of my favorite beers. Yummy goodness!

Pours a nice cloudy yellow with a full white head. Quite a few bubbles, this is what I picture a wheat beer as looking like.

Probably the strongest smell of any wheat beer I have ever tried. A bit bread like at first from the malt and yeast, but there is also a fruit smell, a lot of banana, and a nice amount of clove.

A lot of banana and clove, a bit of fruit. Bit of a bread like taste in there as well. Very flavorful beer, a lot going on here.

Excellent mouthfeel, no complaints here.

Easily the best wheat beer I have tried. Some beers I know from the first sip are something special, and this is one of them. Lives up to it's rating, an excellent beer.

Been a while since I touched a Heff, good change of pace again.

Served from a bottle to pint glass.

A- Hazy amber, great carb bubbles dancing their way up to a tight creamy head. There was barely any retention on the head, as it disappeared quickly into a thin cap that skimmed the top of the beer.

S- Bananas, Yeasty Bread, Some Wheat and a Pinch of Clove. Very inviting.

T- Palate follows the nose big time. Cloves, bananas, a little yeasty, sweet malted wheat, light citrus. Very complex flavor that paints a mosaic of great taste. It all comes together too perfectly and finishes well.

MF- Light-Medium body with a medium carbonation to it. Very tasty beer that goes down plain and simply smoooth! The flavor really hangs around on your tongue and the roof of your mouth.

O- Worth it for me. I got tired of wheat beers and heffs quickly, but this proved to be a worthy contender in a vast sea of complex beers out there. For a moderate price, jump on it! Delicious.

Appearance: Hazy gold to dark straw. Lively carbonation. Bright-white, creamy head starts off massive and pillowy, but drops to a 1cm cap that persists in large part because of the carbonation. Looks refreshing.

Smell: Clove, banana, and some grass. Peppery undertones. Bright clean almost lemon. Yeast is slightly earthy. Wheat. Some bright pale malts. Very clean. Melon?

Taste: Malted wheat. Almost toasted. Lemon, grass, perfectly ripe banana. Underlying spiciness drops hints of clove and pepper. Yeast is earthy. Mild roasted character. Bright and clean. Big fruity esters push some apple and pear. Almost no hops to speak of.

Mouthfeel: Lively carbonation. Body runs just on the thin side of moderate. Lingering dryness builds with each sip.

Overall: Summer the beer.

This is a staple in the style for a reason. Loads of flavor, never overbearing, and delightfully refreshing.
