poured into duvel tulip.

Appearance: golden yellow bodied beer with a light haze noted to the body, not quite opaque though. The beer has 2 fingers of white head that drops down to a thin cap, but has some decent staying power. Spotty lace.

Smell: Big bananas, wheat malts and clove.

Taste: Follows the nose really close. The bananas are not as big in taste as they are in the nose. A nice malty wheat base is found mid palate. Yeasty and fruity notes are all over this beer. Finishes with cloves and more bananas imparting some sweetness.

Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. This beer is really drinkable and also delicate. World class carbonation and mouthfeel!

Overall: This is a tried and proven beer right here. German beer lovers get your hands on this beer. $3 for a 500ml format bottle what a fantastic price for an amazing beer! It wont dissapoint you... i dont even like this beer style, but I think that they make this beer PROPER! The oldest brewery in the world is getting things done the right way!!!

paired this beer with brick cheese and it worked really well.

11.2oz bottle

Hazy golden orange with a dense and rocky head.

Nose has bits of lemon with a savory bread character.

Creamy mouthfeel right off the bad with some more bread and a snappy crisp bite. Carbonation is higher than I anticipated but this adds to the overall refreshing character. More lemon zest and a perfect amount of clove.

So easy to drink and everything is in perfect balance. I couldn't ask for more on a nice hot day.

500ml bottle poured into a weizen glass.

A- Pours a very translucent yellowish golden, with tons of fast rising carbonation bubbles, and a big fluffy white head of about 3-4 fingers. Leaves some thick fluffy lacing along the sides of the glass.

S- Bannana, spices, bready, a little bit of earthiness and some lemon zest.

T- Nice fruity taste of bananas, bready yeast, wheat, some light spices, and some floral hints. Finishes with a nice sweet honey taste that lingers for a while.

M- Light, smooth, incredibly drinkable, great summer beer.

O- Hefeweizens usually aren't my favorite beers however I definitely enjoyed this one, definitely the best I've had so far and at $3/bottle you absolutely can not beat the price. Very nice fruity/bready flavor that is well-balanced, full of flavor, and very pleasant combined with an insane drinkability you have a very fine beer. Highly recommended, I will probably be picking up more of these.

Poured this into a weizen glass.

A: Pours a cloudy golden yellow color. Huge head takes up about 4 inches of glass. Some lacing is left on the glass after. The head quickly subsides.

S: Smells of banana, clove and a faint hint of bubble gum. Some citrus and wheaty yeast are also picked up upon further sniffing.

T: What a beauty this is. I get some spicy clove and wheat initially. The citrus and banana work together afterwards and there is a slight taste of bubble gum that comes through at the end/aftertaste. This sets the standards for how hefes should taste.

M: Refreshing. I could easily put down a whole sixer of this on a nice summer day. The drinkability is wonderful and it is a medium-bodied brew.

Overall: Hands down the best hefeweizen in the world. There is no question about it. One of my favorite all time beers and my go-to for the summer months. The balance and drinkability (aside from the taste) is what sets this beer apart from the other hefeweizens. You can drink your pale ales and IPAs in the summer, I'll take a Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier!!

Appearance is a beautiful gold which pours a very large head which dissapates but a ring stays.
The smell is very delightful. Smell bubblegum, bannana, cloves.
The taste follows the nose which is filled with the fruit and spice.
The mouthfeel is a medium thickness.
Overall I really like this beer. Very refreshing and see why it's well liked. This will definitely be a part of the rotation during these summer months and may find myself drinking this from time to time year round. Very delicious.
