Tulip glass.

A: Two fingers of beautiful, snow white, fine head on an opaque light gold body. Excellent retention.

S: Lots of spice (clove), wheat, and a little malt.

T: Banana and clove, the spice up front throughout the sip, very creamy body, with a medium length finish which leaves banana on the palate.

M: Light carbonation, medium-full body. Milk-like in how creamy the body is.

O: Excellently crafted, an archetype of the style.

Poured into a Weizen Glass.
Dark yellow-orange with lots of head, 2-3 inches!
Lots of visible carbonation.
Smell was earthy, yeast heavy with very little of the fruit/citrus I expected.
Taste was great! The smell made me think the taste would tend toward the bitter but here the fruit came more to the front. It wasn't as sweet as some american versions but very palatable with more hops. I picked this up with no expectations or foreknowledge of the brand. I just knew it was a Hefeweizen I hadn't tried yet. My new benchmark!

Pours a nice golden yellow color, very hazy and cloudy, with a two finger frothy white head that sticks around. Not much lacing.

Smells strongly of bananas and bread. Also has some notes of cloves and slight orange peel smell. Very pleasant.

Lots of bananas and some spiciness on the tongue. Paves way for some bread notes and very low hop bitterness. Slight orange peel taste and some spiciness in the aftertaste.

Good carbonation in the mouthfeel. Nice medium body and had some chewiness into it. Goes down real easy and smooth.

Very nice hefeweizen. Never tasted such strong banana notes before in a beer. Great drinkability and magnificent in the summer. This bottle held up very well despite being two and a half months away from the best before date. I am curious to see how much better it is fresh.

Poured into the token weizen glass

A - A rich hazy yellow with a big frothy white head that gives a nice retention.

S - Banana, orange and a lot of sweet bubblegum-like scents coming though. A lovely aroma for sure.

T - Follows the nose with some additional flavors: yeast and clove. Makes for a superb drink.

M - Dirnkability is at its finest with this one. A wonderful light-medium body bursting with flavor while remaining tightly tamed. It feels soft and refreshing on the palette. Fantastic.

O - In my opinon the best of the style. Others try to do what this does but are simply caught short. A truly wonderful brew that any enthusiast should seek.

330ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a hazy dark yellow with a billowy white head. Decent head retention but somewhat lacking in lacing.

Wonderful aroma of bubblegum, clove, banana, and oranges. This is really what a Hefe should smell like.

The flavor has Lots of banana/bubblegum yeasty esters along with some clove. Everything is fairly well restrained with no single characteristic becoming overpowering. The soft wheat mouthfeel along with fairly high carbonation makes this one refreshing beer.

Overall, one of my favorite Hefe's. Really a benchmark for the style and a beer everyone should try.

Poured a gorgeous cloudy, yeasty golden color with a two finger fluffy white head that receded to a ring of white foam leaving lacing on the glass. An excellent appearance, very true to style. Near flawless. Scents of clove, banana, slight citrus, some wheat malt and a low level of vanilla. A very good aroma profile that hits the style dead-on. Nothing is off, everything is present and it's all fantastic. Very nice. Flavor begins with spicy cloves phenols and a bit of banana esters, moving into more clove phenols but now balanced equally with banana esters and a slight citrus-like sourness. An undertone of cracker-like malt is present throughout the entire sip. Finishes with an equal balance of banana esters and clove phenols, with a slight lemony sourness. Aftertaste is spicy clove phenols and faint banana esters. An excellent flavor profile. The main flavors of the style reveal themselves in full form and several of the optional flavors also come into play. Very well done, balanced and refreshing, perfect. Mouthfeel is light bodied, effervescent with high carbonation and a slightly creamy feel. A very nice, refreshing mouthfeel that is perfectly true to style. Overall this is an amazing hefeweizen. Everything about it is a perfect representation of the style, and this is my number one recommendation to anyone who wants to try a good Bavarian hefeweizen.

This is a mighty fine hefe! A very tasty brew for the summer time... Taste of bananas, cloves, wheat with a very smooth finish. I could drink these by the pool, by the river, by the swimmin puddle all day long.
They say there is a drought out there, but I can't believe it as long as I have one of these in my hand!
