Appearance: It pours a very cloudy golden color with a head that is two fingers tall. The head retentention is not bad. Spotty lacing is left behind as the head thins out.

Aroma: Notes of clove, banana, spicy floral hop. A little bit of butteryness in the nose. In the way back the is a wisp of butterscotch in the nose.

Taste: Up front is a light crisp mouthfeel. At the begining are notes of banana, clove. In the middle are wisps of citrus. Towards the end is twinge of lemon zest and a nice dry crisp finish.

Notes: Dam this is an amazing Hefeweizen quite possibly the best Hefe I have ever had. Cheers.

On tap at the Braustuberl Weihenstephaner, Freising, so shouldn't come any fresher than this !

Poured into the appropriate 0.3l glass with a couple of fingers head

A real treat of a hefeweiss ! You can tell they've been dabbling in the field for 971 years, I think they've cracked it !!!

Cloudy dark yellow in colour (there wasn't much lighting in the cellar room we were in, so difficult to be precise on this one!)

Full of flavour namely a hint of banana with cloves and other spices, truly well balanced beer of this style

The smells largely matched the taste to save repetition

The mouthfeel did it for me, silky smooth and my palate begged for more, lacing remained throughout my drinking experience

Wunderbar !!!

From twelve ounce bottle coded 5211.

Pours a hazy, golden/lemon yellow with nice tan head. Head does not last long and lacing is spotty. Aroma is sweet grass and malt. Taste is incredibly smooth and refreshing. Citrusy notes. Amusing aftertaste, tingly carbonation.
