Cellar temperature in a weizen glass.
This dunkel presents a large, just off-white three-finger rocky head and a murky, dark amber-brown color. Looks like it should.
I smell caramel, orange zest, vanilla, raisins, plums, and ripe banana. Not bad.
Caramel and citrus play nicely in the flavor, with the raisins also coming through a bit. The finish is both nutty and bready in the nicest of ways, and hints of banana, cinnamon, and cloves are also apparent in the end.
The carbonation is jacked up, and the body is medium.
A dunkel that cannot disappoint.

A: Darker golden brown not as murkey as expected. Big bubbly head.
S: Bananas, malt, and some spices.
T: Bananas and malt as above. Also pepper and spice, apples, some caramel, and light fruits. There's a nuttiness to it as well.
M: Creamy and bubbly. A nice aspect of this beer.
O: Great dunkel! Would definitely buy again.

It's been too long since I've had wheat beer. I've gone like 6 months without one after a long phase of faithful wheat beer drinking. This stuff is delicious.
Perfectly white head sitting on just slightly cloudy, deep mahogany brown body. Smells very malty and sweet, yet somehow crisp as well. Floral and buttery. A little pear like.
Taste is super malty. The wheat is everywhere, buttery and slightly sweet, but not overly so. Crisp and zesty almost blueberry flavor. Malt all the way through to the end. Nothing harsh, very mild in all respects. Very smooth feel, nice carbonation. Goes down easy, very drinkable.

A - Very dark amber color. Exceptionally bubbly. It poured with a thick white creamy head. Mostly opaque, but some light comes through. Somewhat murky.
S - A sour citrusy smell and lots of wheat.
T - Front is a citrus orange taste. Middle is wheaty. Finish is malty. Not a very strong alcohol taste and not bitter at all.
M - Medium thickness. Lots of carbonation that you feel as it first hits your tongue.
O - This is a mellow beer with a nice malty, wheat taste. Almost no bitterness and very enjoyable.

Poured from a 17 ounce Euro-brown bottle into a shaker. A moderate pour produces about an inch of off-white head that dissipates rather quickly but leaves a pretty stick 1/8 inch residuum coating the top. The beer is a hazy yellow-amber color with moderate carbonation.
Very enticing, fruity aroma- yeasty, tart, spicy, tang, apple pie, banana, raspberry, cherry and a light earthy funk. These aromas/suggestions carry over into the flavor, with the banana accentuated a bit at first, but with the other fruits catching up. I perceive a burpy, frothy, pungent mass coating the back of the mouth and producing monumental burps. A nice rich caramelly malt backs up the yeast, fruit, funk, and tang. A strong hint of dark fruit lurks in the background and lingers in the aftertaste.
This pint-plus bottle was purchased for $3.49 at Hennessey Grocery in Butte, Montana. This strikes me as quite an excellent deal, considering the obvious excellence of this beer (and the distance traveled!). Kudos to the Hennessey for making this exotic foreign beer available in my little corner of the mountains...
