Aroma is soft but distinct with clove and a touch of vanilla. The off-white head is large and frothy; the body is cloudy and dark amber. The flavor is dominated by a clove-like spiciness rounded off by some soft, bread crust-like sweetness; a touch of yeasty tartness lingers in the finish. The lively carbonation contributes to a medium-full body, but the finish is fairly light and crisp.

This is a very delicious, hearty, and satisfying beer with an alluring appearance, delightful aroma, and invigorating taste.

Ahhhh....an incredible drinker....pours dark amber with fairly heavy carbonation. Smell is banana/clove with a hint of yeast. Taste picks up the banana and clove right away but the maltiness and tinge of the roasted malts comes through. The flavor explodes in your mouth....is there a better summertime beer than this? German purity and craftsmanship at play here

Pours hazy brown with copious amount if foam head. The sustaining carbonation is tremendous as the head stayed atop the pour well into the drink. The nose has the smell if a typical hefe as it's base, banana and clove, but I also get a little breadiness and maybe some fig.

The initial feel is quite smooth, the carbonation present but far from overtaking the feel. The taste starts with a light gingerbread taste. The banana/clove hints come next, stronger in some sips than others. A more generic darker bread (sweet whole grain) settles in midway through the end taste. The carbonation plays nicely in the back to hold your tongue for the last few seconds.

Very solid beer, unsurprisingly. Nice balance, enjoyable flavors, great feel and appearance.

A: poured into a weizen glass to a ruddy brown with a dense and rocky two finger off white head that retains well and leaves good lacing
S: smells of bananas and cloves
T: taste is bananas and cloves with a nice amount of malt sweetness and creamy wheat and some nice breadyness. swallow is more banana and clove with some honey sweetness and more breadyness.
M: this beer is fairly light with a creamy mouthfeel from the wheat. carbonation is slightly prickly and the finish on the beer is ever so slightly drying
O: A fantastic example of the style from a world class brewery. Definitely hits all the right notes with no apparent faults
