Poured a slightly hazed copper/bronze with a thinner lacy white head atop.Aromas of ripe tangerine, green leaf, and some mild earthiness over top of a sweet biscuit malt base.I think this is a real English inspired IPA with its hefty biscuit mildly sweet malt flavors with somewhat subdued fruity and earthy hop flavors. Not a bad IPA if you like the English style,it went great with the freakin amazing burger I had though.

on-tap at BCBB, nonic pint glass
Appearance is a hazy (unfiltered) dark amber with some orange tones. Reasonable off-white head, some clingy lacing, and a nice ring that hangs around. The nose is hoopy: very citrusy (tangerine) with some floral hops as well. Hint of malt. Taste is a good amount of citrus-tangerine hops. AS it warms floral tones emerge. Malt provides some sweetness but is lost in the sea of hops. Quite bitter and some alcohol present. Mouthfeel is very hop oily, medium body and prickly.
Honestly this tastes more like an American IPA to me, though a relatively mild one. Tangerine citrusness makes me think Lagunitas Sucks or even a Dogfish Head 90min. Very bitter and very citrusy. I like that it is unfiltered. Very good beer.

Served on tap at the brewpub along side a wonderful, green chile and chili burger. This is really my first experience with an IPA using Northern Brewer, Fuggles, and Golding. I understand the difference between English and American IPAs now and would probably prefer an American IPA if given the choice, but this one was really good. It had a nice copper color and white foamy head. Not the huge hop profile that I am used to but I still could taste the hops (they use 22 lbs per batch). It was well balanced and was easy to drink. I would definitely have this one again.
