New owners/management with one message.....service, service, service.....oh one more thing...GREAT SELECTION OF CRATF BEER. Very strong focus on local, NYS and New England breweries, there are soooo many to choice from, just look, ask and the staff will walk you threw the many cans and bottles to select from. Every time I visit I go home with a new favorite beer.

Great people. Very helpful and friendly. A little concentrated in a few breweries in terms of their elite selection but hard to complain given competition in the area. This place and any Deccico's are my favorite places to shop for beer in Fairfield or westchester counties.

sometimes pop over the CT/NY line to grab some of their distroed beers that we dont get in CT. love the vibe, definitely focused on craft beer as opposed to wine and liquor.

Neat selection, great store. Thanks BA! My wife is working in Westchester County not too far from this store so I had to check it out. It is in a strip mall seemingly in the middle of nowhere, not quite in Salem.

Lots of quality bombers, including Sierra Barrel Bigfoot, Frederiksen Brunch, Even More Jesus, Pizza Boy Sour, Zymatore Batch 10-11-14 Bon Chien, Zymatore Cuvee Angelique, Crooked Stave, Dark Sky Imperial Stout from Japan, Almanac… good stuff, yo!

Also a lot of six packs from all the big craft breweries in America, but the attraction here is in the bombers.

A clean, neat store overall, with eight lines for growler fills including Thirsty Dog, Evil Twin Imperial Doughnut Break, Sixpoint Mad Scientist, Westbrook Milk Stout... nice beer guys at the counter, helpful without being intrusive.

Good, solid selection & growler fills. Reasonable prices & single 12s.
Since this earlier visit VB&B has stop filling growlers, although I guess they maintain the ability to restart. And has a much more limited selection of single 12s.

They are around the corner from Brother Vic's which occasional has a few solid craft offering, and is a live music venue.

This is a great little spot and I'm hesitant to review because I don't want others sneaking up on this place but the owner is super friendly (if he's the owner?) we chatted about beer for a good 20 minutes, the quality of what they've got on tap in the store is spot on but would like to see a bit more on the shelves. Pricing is fine. Growler fills are key and they've got some great stuff

What a great place. Was able to find some Midnight Sun Berserker, Victory Red Thunder, Troegs Flying Mouflan, Captain Lawrence Golden Delicious, Crooked Stave, Cascade Kriek, and some 2011 Kuhnhenn Dark Heathen. Good variety of Craft Beer with some nice finds as well. They post on BeerMenu.com and it was up to date and accurate. They did have a growler filling station as well.

This place has become my new go to spot. Service is awesome, with the staff very knowledge and willing to help. bomber and six/four pack always have the standard-go-to favorites with constantly rotating new selections, seasonals, specialties, and collaborations constantly rotating. Growler selection could use a bit more consistency and variety, but there are always solid choices. Anyways, this is the best spot around, stop by if you're in the area or live nearby and check it out, you won't be disappointed

Went here on the recomendation of a fellow BA. My work brings me right next door to this place from time to time. The place has a really good selection and some harder to find bottles. I looked around for a bit and bought a few things, but didnt really interact with the person working so it is hard to say how the service was. Will definitly be back again.

This is a cool, small towny feeling beer distributor in S. Salem, NY, a stones throw from Connecticut. I really enjoy the knowledgeable, friendly staff and recently new owners have taken over and are planning to really improve on a good thing.

The selection is very good with craft beer being at the forefront and a well stocked cooler of the more popular domestic and imported beers as well. Beer being something of a personal religion of Johnny, the "caretaker" he takes his beer seriously and is always there with suggestions and useful information to steer you to something delicious. I highly recommend you visit if you are in the area.

I have been living in fairly close distance to this place for about 5 years now. When I first moved to the area, this place was a regular old distributor; nothing too out of the ordinary. However, in the last year or so, this place has really taken off. It seems like their micro selection has doubled, and they started carying more single bottles as well. Nice Captain Lawrence, Ommegang, Brooklyn, and Laguanitas single selection; as well as numerous Belgian and German brews.
I do like that you can make your own 6-pack when you feel like trying a few diff styles; however most of the bottle to choose from are pretty standard and I have had like 85% of them already. I would say the prices are similar to most in the area, maybe slightly higher for micro 6-packs, but some of their single bottles go for about a dollar or two less then some other stores; so it evens out I guess.

They also sell kegs, but I never got one there or looked into what they can get. They sell lots of soda and juice as well.

The other day, the guy behind the counter said their website should be fully functional soon, and you can order beer and have it delivered locally, which is pretty cool.

Im excited to see where they are going recently, and only hope they continue to get more specialty brews. Since I find some random brews in there once and a while, its worth a visit if you find yourself driving by.

UPDATE

Ok, its been a few months since my last review and they have kicked up their craft beer scene big time. Always getting rare bottles, nice inventory, and great staff. Stop by and you wont be disappointed.

Mid sized box of a place, strip mall kinda set up. Located in that strange nowhere sort of land where western Conn. and downstate NY meet along a jagged and non sensical boundary. Easy to drive right past as I imagine I may have done a few times.

The good stuff is towards the rear on and in a few long and large shelving units and coolers.

Moderate selection of the usual and widely available quality options. Expect Captain lawrence, Stone, Lagunitas, Brooklyn, Ommegang and other similar stuff. Smattering of the basic imports. Dont look for rarities, do expect near solid options of BA worthy beer. Def. not worth any sort of excursion, but if you find yourself driving by....middle of the road pricing, ditto on sleepy staff person behind the counter.
