Bunzfest2012: Make it so... Thanks Kevin for sharing the growler direct from the source!
Quick review from written notes, served in a mini-tulip glass.
Hazy orange with a thin string of bubbles around the edges. Lasting halo of lacing decorates the glass. Decent clarity. Smells clean and "green" a little too fresh, underdeveloped. Phenolic clove spice.
Earthy hops, clovey yeast, lightly bitter, a bit astringent and lightly tart. Light to medium body with lower carb levels. Pretty refreshing. Nice to try something from this new TN brewery...

Entirely too light in color for an IPA, this did have a hefty white head.
The scent is quite aromatic with lots of grapefruit and lemon zest. No real malt to speak of the hops are alive with fruitiness.
The flavor has strong juicy citrus, like grapefruit and lemon tastes, from a clean hop flavor. The floral and pine hop flavors are present but are subtle while the real fruitiness is at the forefront.
The feel is clean and crisp with a moderate carbonation and no real after taste to speak of. This IPA has tons of fruitiness and will be a favorite of those who enjoy those tastes from hops instead of the earth and pine.

Hmmm - SO confused! Described as an India Pale Ale by the server - it arrived (in a pilsner glass?). Visually it was very interesting - yellow to red to gold shifting like sand in the glass with a small white head. It looks like a wheat, unfiltered hefe, or a summer ale. The aroma is like cut grass (not in a bad way). The taste is good - not great - grassy again. I think it is the lack of the hop kick that you expect with an IPA. Granted I know it doesn't have to "kick" like a West Coast IPA, but something would be nice? All in all, it's an above average beer. I'll give it another go. Would've liked it better had I never heard those 3 letters I....P...A...
