A- Was ok. It was a later time on a Saturday. The lighting was very dark and had some hip-hop music playing. If you like Lady Gaga and Kanye West you would be pleased.

Q- Food was really really good. They also had a nice beer menu.

S- Well, for a Sat. night we sat down very quickly. But then our sever took for ever to make her way over! Service and beer knowledge is definitely not there strong suit.

S- My wife and I had some good appitizers and dinner plates. There was much more dinner options to choose from. Beer seltion was also very good.

F- Food was good stuff. That will bring my wife and I back fo-sho!

V- Was resonable. Maybe alittle on the high side. App. and entrees were about $10 bucks apiece. So for a party of two with a few drink your looking at $40-50 dollars.

Overall- Not a bad place. Great food and good beer. My only down fall is when my wife ordered a coffee stout the waitress questoned her on how much coffeeness she liked in her beers.? Just bring out the beers please.

The usally have a sold draft list. I prefer Tribes in all aspects. Tap House has that chain feel. The food is good not great. I asked the server what IPA's he though were good. I will not name the brand but the IPA he said was great is a poor example at best with a rating on BA of 75, I felt that he was trying to just get rid of the bottles and pawn them off on me. That being said you can get your usuall Founders, Goose Island, etc on tap. Its a place that I will go to again for lunch. The food is good.

Stopped in here as part of my Accidental Highway to Hell tour. It's nestled in a nice-ish suburban strip mall-esque spot. I settled in at the bar, which was nearly empty (it was around 3:00 or so on a Monday afternoon, so...). The selection was pretty nice, with a good number of taps, most of them average selections, but with a few real treats. I ordered a New Belgium Clutch and a Stone Double Bastard. The proper glassware was provided. The bartender was not only knowledgeable about the beer, but was very amiable and spent a good amount of time talking with the drunk at the bar (that would be me, by the by). I didn't have any of the food, so I can't really comment on that aspect. Overall, this is a very nice bar, probably the best bar not attached to a brewpub in the immediate area (meaning pretty much Plainfield). If I'm ever in the area again, I'll likely stop in for a pint or two.

Visited here on a Tuesday night. Obviously atmosphere was uncrowded. Similar atmosphere to Taphouse Oswego. Sport and beer decor around the place. Caters mostly to the restaurant portion of the place. Seems similar to most other places in the area; busy around dinner and just after and then dies around 9 or 10.

Sat at the bar which had about 8 or so patrons at it. Within a few minutes a bartender asked us what we wanted. He wasn't overly friendly or helpful but prompt and courteous. He made sure once our drinks were finished that they were filled again. I would say service was alright, nothing to complain about.

I was actually very impressed with the selection. The selection rivals Finnegan's which is just a few blocks away. They had about 40 taps or so. After you take out the macro and typical imports there were about 30 decent beers available. They ran the gamut on styles. Big on seasonals. Pretty impressed to see Founders Breakfast stout there. Ended up ordering a Smuttynose Farmhouse and Sam Adams Octoberfest (beer of the month).

Only ended up ordering french fries, which were good. This place seems to be a typical, solid place for food, where you won't get anything outstanding, but you'll never be disappointed either. I'm sure I'll be back here again. They seem to get some better stuff than the Oswego Taphouse and have cleaner tap lines too.

This place has a 1960's folksy coffee house vibe in some ways. In other ways, it has a "we are a bar built inside of a strip mall in place of a bar that went out of business before us" kind of vibe. That vibe presents itself in the exposed metal rafters and pipes and ducts instead of a fine pub-like ceiling. It isn't really all that bad, but the linens and bedsheets hung on the walls as decoration don't do much to help.

As a UPS driver, I may be the only person to notice this-- the east wall has a little mural in which part of the design is a map with a star to indicate the location of the bar... They have the location wrong. The star actually comes close to marking the spot where Finnegan's Irish pub is located-- about half a mike east of the actual Tap House. Not a big deal, but something I noticed as a delivery driver in Plainfield.

The food is ok. I had some sandwich that really came across as though it ha been prepared on a George Foreman grill... The other food was decent enough for pubfare, but a bit on the pricey side. The only time I'll eat here again is on the special days.

The beer has a HUGE selection of tap handles-- I think about 40-50 different beers... Sounds awesome, right? Almost.
Take away the BMC beers, the Euro Pale Lagers, and the standard English/Irish imports and we lose 12 handles or so.
Now take away the various wheat beers-- lose 7 or 8 more handles.
Subtract the mediocre "entry level" offerings like Ranger IPA, Mendocino stuff, and Sam Adams (and the like) beers and we lose another 15 handles.
Basically, at any given time, theres only about 10 beers worth drinking.

The wait staff is very friendly, and seem to make some effort to learn about the beer.

Worth a stop if you're in the area.

Skipped out on work and dropped by on a Thursday afternoon. Place wasn't very busy, but wouldn't expect it to be at 1:30/2 pm during the week. Large open space, plenty of seating, good sized bar. Felt like a good place to hang out, have a few beers, a burger and watch some sports.

Bartender was friendly and attentive. Made sure I had what I wanted and was fairly quick with service. Didn't order any food, but those around seemed to get their food fairly quickly. Checked out the food menu before I left. Good range offered, standard burgers, sandwiches, plated meals, and lots of appetizers. Also have a specials board. Go back on Wednesdays. Their $10 burgers are only $2 and their $11 angus burgers are $3. Can't beat that deal.

Beer selection was huge, nice variety. Got to try a new Chicago release from our newest brewery Finch's as well as Zombie Dust from Three Floyds. You can track their menu on beermenu.com. Prices were pretty good too, $11 total for my two.

I'll definitely go back, probably take the family back for $2 burger night. "Like" them and get updates on their daily specials. Worth a visit.
