No bottle date but just released last week.

A: Well, certainly a unique look. It pours just like a witbier. Kind of a light orange. Very hazy. Not hazy, straight up cloudy in fact. Don't get any light through it all. Head and mid-sized, fluffy and tan. It fades very quickly though...very quickly and very oddly. It's hard to describe, it basically turns into what looks like soap bubbles. It's a head made up of very large and clear bubbles briefly and then it's all gone. Zero lacing. Possibly the strangest appearance I've seen.

S: Well, the smell is really nice. Citrus is off the scale. Ripe, juicy oranges, grapefruit and tangerines. Tropical fruits in general like pineapple. It smells like a glass of tropical fruits, you would never guess it's a beer aroma if you were blindfolded. Even get some orange peel. When swirled I get just a hint of some wheaty malt.

T: Big hop burst up front. Tropical fruits again with lots of grapefruit. Again with the orange, tangerine and pineapple. Spicy pine in there too, surprisingly strong into the middle. Has sort of a saison-ish malt. Very grainy and wheaty, mainly in the middle and finish. Big wave of bitterness in the finish, leading to a strong, drying, bitter pine and grapefruit aftertaste.

M: Medium bodied and full. Lower carbonation.

O: A very interesting, unique and tasty DIPA. It's sorta a hybrid, it's like a mega dry hopped saison in some ways. A mega dry hopped saison that looks like a witbier. Hey, whatever works. It's a west coast hop bomb with a wheaty backing. I enjoyed it quite a bit. One small note, once I poured the entire bottle into the glass I got a lot of sediment. This must include actual hop particles because BOY did it amp up the hop flavors and bitterness. It literally made me start coughing. Beware if you aren't an extreme hop head, this baby's got some serious hop strength in it now. I kinda don't mind it because I sometimes enjoy over-the-top beers. Very crazy, these guys. (1,974 characters)

If you have yet to try heady topper, just get this instead. I'm sure the price/availability makes it harder to get better reviews but this is just a great beer.

If this were being packaged weekly and out to the masses.... Oh baby (231 characters)

pours cloudy and not much head. almost unappetizing but boy is this DIPA fantastic. It starts with some citrus, then some sweetness, then finishes with a long lingering bitterness. It's perfect. At the price I paid for a 12 oz bottle I would expect a great beer. Good thing I had it before and knew what I was getting into. (328 characters)

Probably the best double IPA I have ever had. It smells of tropical fruits and pine, and the taste is in the same note. Extremely well balanced and drinkable, with less of the malty sweetness or thickness in body that DIPAs usually posess. (239 characters)

Teku glass. Bottle. Cloudy golden with two/three finger white head. Good lacing. Aroma is excellent - lots of citurs (lemon, orange and definetely grapefruit). The taste is not as intense as flavour, fruity palate with citrus (mainly grapefruit), peach, grapes. Also some bread, cake notes along with straw flavoursMedium bitterness balanced by malts (sweetness). Medium body, thick, dry, medium carbonation. Finish is bitter and long. Definetely one of the best DIPA I've ever tried. Very aromatic, drinkable and thick. But too pricey. (537 characters)

Poured into a snifter from a 12 ounce bottle.

A- Cloudy mango-colored liquid. Frothy pale white head. Great head retention and abundant lacing. Looks thick enough to be a smoothie. 4.25

S- Pineapple, passionfruit and a touch of tartness and dank. Light malt presence. 4.25

T- Man, so fruity. Mango and pineapple and passionfruit give way to more pineapple. The fruity qualities and sweet malt complement each other well. A more grapefruit like beer emerges too. Love the medley of flavors. 4.5

M- Drinks refreshingly with a lighter-feeling body that still isn't thin. Bitterness works throughout with touches of sweetness and zestiness. Great stuff. 4.5

This beer is great. It wasn't much on my radar but now I want more. A lot more. (739 characters)

Odd appearance like Tang. Very strong lemongrass smell. Very grassy taste, surprisingly sweet and almost no bite. (113 characters)

A: Looks just like orange juice minus the pulp. Head is modest. Lace is sparse and spotty. He orange juice look makes me think refreshing and delicious....

S: Aroma is a dank party of stinky tropical funk. Sweet bready malts blanketed by a hoppy forest. Light crisp pine over deep dark pungent goodness. It's so aromatics it cleans out the nostrils. It's like a whiff of fresh hop pellets.

T: Super brisk, almost peppery, pine to the head. Mouthwatering juicy fruit.

M: Each sip leaves the mouth feeling encrusted with hop resins. Carbonation is pointy initially and gradually smooths out. Very juicy and very dry.

O: Excellent! (633 characters)
