11.2 ounce bottle decanted into a tulip. 6.5% ABV. “06/11/14” stamped on the crown.
Appearance: Brilliant honey color, with a fizzy white cap. Relatively large, soapy bubbles. There is a thin layer of debris on the bottom of the bottle, but a conscious pour kept that out of my glass (4/5).
Aroma: Sigh… another oxidized beer. That really is the handicap of this style; it just doesn’t live very long. Anyway, beyond the oxidation I get a little dark bread and some floral hops (2.5/5).
Taste: The flavor has been impacted less by the oxidation than the aroma was. It’s a very delicate beer. No flavor really stands out and demands my attention. I get some slightly sweet apple flavor, which is followed by mild hop bitterness after the beer has left my palette. Despite the oxidation, it tastes very clean (3.25/5).
Mouthfeel: Medium body, medium-to-high carbonation (3.5/5).
Overall: This is a very nice, easy drinking beer. Of all of the oxidized Belgian Pale Ales I’ve had (there have been many), I would probably be most interested in trying this one again if it was fresh. I get the idea that it might be really good right out of the brewery. But, as it stands here in my glass, I am only moderately impressed (3.25/5).

750ml, caged and synthetically corked sturdy-ass bottle. The label seems to depict some random pop-art. And who's this Leon fella?
This beer pours a mildly hazy, medium golden amber hue, with a tower of frothy, thinly foamy, and mostly puffy off-white whipped cream head, which leaves some thorough patchy webbed lace around the glass as it slowly ebbs away.
It smells of crisp biscuity pale malt, rather understated musty yeast, dry white wine, muddled, yet still sharp citrus rind, aerosolized black pepper, and herbal, leafy, and grassy hops. The taste is again quite edgy in the grapefruit, orange, and dried pineapple fruitiness up front, followed closely by that earthy Belgian ale yeast, crackery pale malt, further white wine must, faint table pepper, and deliciously pungent herbal, leafy, soapy, and softly floral hops.
The carbonation is actually quite lilting and ineffectual by the time it gets to my tongue, the body medium-light in weight, and generally smooth, the hops and/or yeast not up for any tussle here. It finishes off-dry, the malt somewhat straining under the malingering citrus and herbal hops, not to mention the yeast and well fading spice notes.
Belgian Pale Ales are usually more miss than hit for me, but I gotta say, this is pretty tasty, and relatively easy to drink. The complexity of the Champagne yeast providing those subtle vinous characteristics, along with the Yankee IPA hops, goes a long way in distancing this example from the field. Not a particular steal at the retail level, but I'm always content enough in that respect when the goods, are, ya know - good.

Enjoyed this brew out of a Belgian Tulip Glass
A: Light copper hue with a huge, white, frothy head that last forever, leaving a great trail, and ending in a solid persistent lace.
S: Sweet Belgian yeast aroma with hints of fruits.
T: Similar to the smell a sweet Belgian yeast aroma is present with a fruity middle that is slightly tart and finishes a little dry.
M: Medium body and heavy carbonation.
O: Impressive Belgian brew - worthy of a try.
