Fluid pour with a mild head. Gold colored body.
Aroma is highly induced with citris! Orange peel, grapefruit, coriander, and tobacco makes up a fantastic aroma.

Taste contains a neatly hoppy front with orange peel and citris flavors, and by the center, a fruity grape flavor comes into play.

By the aftertaste, the flavor of coriander and grape mingle with the boozyness of the beer to make up a fantastic, "different", tasting tripel.

Overall, a great tripel that contains a great mix of typical citris qualities and other dark grape/fruit sensations.

On tap, at the Hop Devil Grill in NYC, this strong, yeasty and tasty brew poured cloudy dark peachy amber, with a dark tan head and leaving plentiful lacing. Nose is nicely of fruity bananas. Smooth nicely rounded notes of cloves, bananas. Smooth and creamy, a pleasure to enjoy on tap and a great starter at the Legacy event. A favorite style and this one did not disappoint.

My local bottle shop just got a 3 of Legacy's line in stock, figured I would give one a shot. Poured from a 22oz bottle into a 20 oz pint glass. Medium pour yields a two finger pure white head of very fine bubbles. Head retention is great, moderate lace on this bad boy. Golden amber with a tinge of copper.

Nose- whiffs of Belgian yeast, coriander, and hints of alcohol.

Taste- Strong metallic taste, however it fades over time. Some sweetness, some typically Belgian esters nothing as definite as banana or bubble gum. Very peppery. Slight hop bite in the finish. Finish is a bit long and dry. Mild alcohol presence

Mouthfeel- Active carbonation, if anything a bit oily.

Drinkability- Good. A fine American interpretation of the style.

22 oz bomber poured into a wide bowled snifter

A-shiny, clear yellow with a little foam

S- Peppery, yeasty, and a funk, almost like a wet band-aid, weird

T-Bitter orange, spicy coriander, sweet malt and a little alcohol burn.

M- great carbonation and a substantial thickness

D- high abv, but the alcohol is well hidden and the flavors good but not overwhelming

On draft at Mad Mex Robinson, appears a slightly cloudy golden amber with a nice white head leaves behind fine even lacing with each sip, not bad at all. Aroma is heavily spiced with sweet lightly toasted fruity malt presence among the biscuit flavor, an overall tart apple and lively alcohol. Flavor has a spicy alcohol character with creamy malt sweetness it's hart to compare to other American brewed Belgian style ales...tart apples and ripe fruit soaked in alcohol. Mouthfeel is a bit syurpy with even carbonation and alot of texture medium bodied really sticks to the palate. Drinkability is very quaffable but beware the abv is weighing heavy at 11% alcohol by volume but it's spicy character and fruit components make it a very desireable experience even Euphoric.

On tap at UJ's on the Manatawny during their Hoptimus Prime premiere. The beer poured a hazy golden color with a thin white head into a chalice. The nose of the beer was mainly of yeast, some lemon zest and other fruit tones. The taste is lemony, zesty and a bit spicey, maybe corriander. The taste overall is sweet and leaves a nice aftertaste and linger in my mouth. The body has some active carbonation and overall adding up to a nice refreshing beer and that is hard to say for a 8.7% abv strong ale. This reminds me alot of RR's Benediction in taste profile. Can't wait to try this in bottles when they are out.

12oz bottle, a single from a nice mix-pack from a certain against the grain liquor store in east Edmonton.

This beer pours a slightly glassy medium golden hue, with one very skinny finger of thin, wispy off-white head, which bleeds way in a blink of a lazy eye, leaving but a few specks of islet lace around the glass for the measly effort.

It smells of fruity, bready pale malt, some muddled winter baking spices, candy sugar, and subtle metallic boozy notes. The taste is sweet grainy malt, some bready yeast, more saccharine, chewing gum adjunct notes, sozzled pear and overripe apple, and earthy, sort of grassy hops.

The bubbles are moderate, and flick a bit at the high palate, the body a so-so medium weight, with a tacky smoothness, afflicted like expired orange juice. It finishes sweet, to be sure, as the heavy (?) pale malt and alcohol sugars rise above the fray, leaving the fruit and hops clamouring underneath.

A better than expected tripel, from the wilds of Pennsylvania - just kidding, sort of. Anyways, lots of checkmarks for the style, with just the big one missing - overall subtly and cohesiveness - but work on it, and we'll check on it next time you bring it in, s'ok?

Date tasted: June 28, 2013... Glassware: Affligem chalice... Occasion: O's defeat Sabathia--a good day of work too....Appearance: slowly simmering bubbles populate a thinly cloudy white head on a copper golden body--not impressive or noteworthy... Aroma: tight, strong citric push; a bit malty and hints at the 9..0% ABV already... Palate: intense, throast-scorching finish early; full-bodied and thick with some fizz... Taste: a grapefruit pucker and some grainy flecks of alcoholic weight--a nameless warming flavor pervades... Overall: Surprisingly, this beer mellows halfway through thee glass; still retains its weight but allows for easier drinking; the profile, though, is effected and does not stand much for making a memorable experience--a serviceable tripel that is probably a bit below its price point in terms of quality....

Bomber into a Corsendonk tulip. I was surprised to find no yeast at the bottom.

Appearance: A darker yellow with a bit of gold, decent head retention that's a bit soapy with lingering larger drops of lacing.

Smell: Reminiscent of a tad more mild Belgian than a lot of recent domestics that I've sampled. Interesting sourness to the fruity esters, with some brighter sour cherries amidst more mild banana, along with yeast, candi sugar, light phenolic activity, and maybe some citrus in there from the hops.

Taste: An initial sourness with malty fruity esters, sour cherries, light cream, banana, yeast, a bit of doughiness, candi sugar, citrus, mild phenols, and some earthiness. Lingering finish is sweet and then cuts into more balance and lingering esters and sourness.

Mouthfeel: A bit too slick with the lack of carbonation. I'm not sure if the bottle-conditioning would've helped or not. It doesn't detract too much, but it's thicker with less carbonation than it needs to be.

Drinkability: A solid domestic version, and one of the better ones I've had lately, though I'm curious about the absence of any yeast in the bottle. Complex and balanced and worth a try.

Ruckus Euphoria
12 oz. bottle; Packed on date illegible

Appearance: As usual, cloudy golden. Head retention and lacing average.

Aroma: Fruity, juicy and subtly tart. Cherry, apple, subtle pineapple. A hint of banana in the background. Yeasty with a minor bit of chalkiness. Some low level spice that lends a suggestion of coriander.

Flavor: follows aroma. Superbly balanced. Beautiful combination of yeasty fruitiness and chalkiness over gently sweet and lighty grassy/straw-like maltiness (orange, lemon, banana, herbal), very firm but balanced bitterness. Dry finish with residual fruit, malt, spice and yeast.

Overall: A killer beer that's remarkably drinkable but still very complex. Not overdone, especialy in the spicing. Balanced and very drinkable. What's not to love?

Very little head...dark lemon yellow. Very sweet aroma with light grassy notes. Taste is an improvement...flavor is lightly sweet, spicy notes at mid palate...slightly tart hop presence on the finish. Mouthfeel is a nice balance of creaminess with a dry finish. For the high abv(9.0 in this case) this brew is very drinkable...worth a try.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped "Packed on 144 303c." Sampled on November 17, 2012.

The pour is a cloudy medium amber to the point of being orange with a short-lived fizzy white head.

On the nose: yeast, Belgian pale malts, black licorice and a host of other exotic spices.

The body is medium, creamy, and full of bubbly zest like a good Tripel should be.

An array of flavors tease the tongue including Belgian malts, zesty orange, coriander, clove, pepper, and black licorice with a low to moderate hop finale that lingers just enough to satisfy.

Nicely done.

A: Poured a cloudy and dirty banana color with a moderate white fluffy head with decent retention. Visible carbonaton was medium-heavy.

S: spicy with bananas, coriander (pepper) hints, sour tropical fruit (pineapples) as well dry pears and citrus peel.

T: The flavor was much as the smell, sour tropical fruit (pineapples) citrus peel, pears with some peppery notes.

M: smooth and light with a medium-heavy carbonation factor.

D: Drinkability was good considering the high abv of 9.0%

The drink poured with a golden-amber appearance with little head or lacing. Aromas were decently rich in fruits, wheat, bread with a great malt hint. Taste was smooth and dry in sweetness and rich malt. Definitely can taste the alcohol delicately and appetizingly. The mouthfeel created a great smooth texture to the drink and also gave it a good carbonated punch in the mouth. Overall, really nice.

A: Pours a clear yellow-gold with a finger of white head that fades into a thin layer with little lacing.

S: Light spice notes up front with tons of candy sugar and bubblegum aromas with faint notes of bananas and pears.

T: Spices up front here as well with some bubblegum and candy sugar presence. There are light fruit notes before a sweet, bready finish.

M: Medium-light body with medium carbonation, this is fairly dry and drinkable, but could use a lighter body and more carbonation.

O: A surprisingly good beer overall. I hadn't heard of this brewery before, and often breweries have trouble with Belgian styles, but they did a good job.
