A - Hazy dark copper color with a pencil width white head that is gone in seconds. Thin lacing left on the glass
S - Strong and smooth caramel smell with a hint of fruit
T - Taste of lemon and grass on the initial sip followed by a slight sweet finish that lingers in the mouth for a little while.
M - Medium body mouth feel with slight but sharp carbonation
O - Overall a nice beer, not very big on the fruit and hop flavors but leans more towards the sweet and roasted malt side of a beers life. Not a beer that I would buy often but I would drink it again

A: cloudy, nice head. Could be more clear.
S: smell fades quickly, slightly tropical, not much hops. Disappointed.
T: this is where the double IPA comes in. Notas solid as some of the top like dogfish or stone. But serviceable. Hops are more on the tropical, passion fruit side, very little pinny or nw hops.
M: adequate for an DIPA
Overall: decent, but was expecting much more.

The color is that of ripe apricot, bright orange with a heavy cloudiness. The off-white head is small but has a thickness and substantial body to what it does have. Lace is tight, thick spotting in just less than moderation. The aroma is light, but some warming brings out citrus, pith and zest mostly, caramel, and an interesting note of something like bark. This is, overall, a strange beer. Pith and dry (old?) orange peel meet caramel, dandelion, herb, bark and nut with lots of oddly roasty bread. The feel is definitely the strong point of this beer. It has a delicate but firm fluffy and soft sort of creaminess resting lightly on the tongue, balanced by consistent crispness with a bite that's not too hard but doesn't back down either. Pith dries the finish out some.
