Nearly transparent amber brew shot through with a reddish glow. Full finger white firm head. Supremely carbonated and lively. Head slides down the glass, leaving a thin but firm lacing.
Soft and syrupy aroma: tannins, floral bouquet, and a slight generic hop bite. Indistinguishable from citrus and pine.
Super heavy malts, with an astringent lingering bitterness. A woody, earthy chocolate flavor rings surprisingly strongly, as well as mint and a heavy dose of caramel. A floral/honey hoppiness floats in the background, but the hop emphasis rests on a dry bitterness.
Lively mouthfeel, medium-light, with a refreshing carbonation sting, and none of the syrupy DIPA trap hinted in the nose. The hops cleanse the tongue and palate nicely. Strong hop oil residue.
This may not be a bad beer, but the flavor profile is absolutely not for me - not out of a DIPA. (Curiously, they specifically call it a "Double" IPA, vice IIPA or Imperial IPA.) Everything else hits the right notes, but the most important aspect - flavor - just doesn't do it for me.

Undated bomber at 45 degrees into goblet; twist off cap!
Extremely faint aroma of fruity hops
Head initially < 1 cm, off white, frothy; rapidly diminishing to a partial layer approximately 1.5 mm thick
Body is medium orange, hazy: a couple of large lumps fell into the glass when poured
Flavor begins slightly bitter with no discernable taste. This ends with a slight astringency. No malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl.
Palate medium, watery, lively carbonation.
This is not a good beer. It is contract-brewed in Wilkes-Barre, PA, possibly at The Lion. There is virtually no hoppiness nor any other flavor. The appearance and the aroma are both sub-par; only the palate is as expected. IMHO, pass this one by.
