Many thanks to Dave_Treat, after I got screwed over on a trade for OTWOA, he hooked me up with some and also threw in some DC Brau extras including The Corruption. No canning date on the bottle, poured into a spiegelau tulip.
Big foamy head on this beer with great retention and good lacing. The beer itself is a murky amber-brown, not the prettiest.
Nice aroma on the nose, with citrus, grapefruit, orange zest, lemon rinds, pine needles, and sweet malts.
Surprisingly thin on the palate. Tastes very watery. Not very bitter either, IBU probably around 60. Just a shame that very little of that hop aroma comes through on the taste.
Mouthfeel is fine, average carbonation, medium body, somewhat dry finish.
Not sure if this is better fresher, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to try it again. DC Brau does other beers a lot better!
