first off, huge thanks to drabmuh for a growler of this as the prize from the minimum reviews BIF. can't say thanks enough.
pours a shimmering light golden amber hue with some decent bubbles fueling a two-plus-finger light caramel white creamy head that fades to a steady ring that leaves truly stunning sticky webby lacing.
aroma is straight up ipa. rich caramel malt and honey, highlighted by green, piney hops with subtle hints of citrus. smells incredibly solid.
tastes like an ipa. this what i think of when i hear IPA. rich, earthy, sweet malts, bright, vibrant piney hops. resinous, woodsy piney hops. hints of citrusy hops with some lime, but pine shines through. sappy. delicious. well balanced yet still heavy hops. delicious.
mouth is pretty stunning. moderate body, soft but full carbonation creates a creamy mouthfeel through what would almost be a resinous, sticky heavy brew. it works beautifully.
well balanced with a hefty hoppy profile, this is almost like the quintessential ipa. everything works beautifully and it's a truly solid, enjoyable brew with just enough character to leave me wanting another visit. top notch. again, big thanks to drabmuh for the hook up... I'll definitely be iso this brewery in the future.
