Poured into an IPA glass from a growler. Enjoyed over 30 minutes.
A: Dulled orange gold. Pours in an IPA glass with a nice head with moderate retention. After settling, a substantial lacy film lingers atop the liquid and clings to the sides of the glass throughout the drinking experience.
S: Strong, very pleasant aroma. Smells of tangerine flower; a mixture of honeysuckle and citrus. Grassy notes hide underneath the citrus- even hemp for only a moment.
T: The taste upfront is less robust than what you expect from the smell. It is hoppy, certainly. Grapefruit is the predominant citrus flavor; both bitterness of the pith and the late occurring sweetness of the fruit shine through. Though citrus does not dominate the experience. Grassy floral notes come through later in the sip, and grassy hemp takes over the aftertaste, lingering in a pleasant way.
M: Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty typical mouthfeel for a traditional IPA.
O: This is certainly a great IPA; absolutely worth a try. It is easy to drink - not incredibly high in alcohol, nor is it a hop bomb that will destroy your palette for an hour. More than solid for a traditional brew in its class.
