Drank on-tap at Lord Hobo, Cambridge, MA
Served in a cervoise
The beer poured an opaque, glowing yellow ochre color. A creamy, white, one-finger head topped the liquid. Rings of drippy lacing coated the glass.
Hops were pervasive in the aroma. Super fruity, rich and complex. Tons of tropical fruit notes. Mango, papaya and guava came through strongest. Lots of peach and apricot as well. Hint of tangerine. Quite impressive.
The flavor profile was similar to the aroma, but a touch drier and more bitter. As in the nose, tropical fruits were in full force. Mango and papaya dominated. Strong peach and apricot notes were apparent as well. Some grapefruit pithiness. Touch of orange peel and tangerine. The beer was piney on the back end and finished quite dry. Moderately bitter and very nicely balanced. As the beer warmed, the bitterness intensified.
The mouthfeel was super slick, creamy and rich with a fine, moderate effervescence. Supple and pillowy.
On The Wings Of Armageddon is hops head's dream, yet it still contains enough balance to satisfy those who like a slightly more balanced DIPA. This is dangerously drinkable stuff. Kudos to DC Brau for doing the style right.

Th beer comes in a very dark reddish amber with a beige fluffy head.
The aroma has some over ripe, almosr rotten tropical fruit and grapefruit. There’s some resinous pine and sweet bready malt. Lots of dankness and some green marijuana character.
The flavor follows of this cedar/oak woodiness along with riping green leaves, grass, and wood sap. There are big notes of resinous pine. There’s a medium plus bready malt in the middle with creamy carbonation. The finish is medium minus bitterness, but aggressively dries. The beer flies off the palate quite quickly leaving some leafy hops on the finish.
The beer drinks like a single IPA. It’s extremely different with its interesting hop notes (single hop Falconer’s Flight) and huge drying on the finish.

Appearance is orange/ dark copper color. Head was fairly substantial and had some staying power. Nice lacing.
Odor was citrus(grapefruit mostly) and some floral with a tin bit of sweet.
Taste starts with hop bitterness. Grapefruit and general citrus with a heavy does of green. Floral notes persist throughout and sweet malt is present in the background. Mouth feel is moderate and not heavy. Bitter finish and a little dry.
Overall, a great IPA. Complex and deep with many different flavors.
