22 oz bottle poured into DFH signature glass. Big thanks to Crabbicuss for sending this one. "Bottled in 2012, best when fresh" is all it says regarding freshness (gee, thanks).
A - Pours a fuzzy copper with a full finger of cream colored head. Cascading carbonation rushes up the sides of the glass. Totally opaque body. Leaves behind a perfect tiered lacing.
S - Dank hops, day old grapefruit rind, sweet kiwi, and some light biscuity malts. Powerful citrus and big juicy hops are what best catch my attention.
T - The flavor is a combination of sweet and bitter. Citrus plays for both sides, making drinkability very high. Malt flavor is not in the background with brown sugar, caramel, and sourdough. Hops are the story here though, with juicy citrus and bitter pine. Some nice grapefruit linger.
M - Awesome feel with carbonation that matches the big flavor. Medium body, soft on the palate. No alcohol presence.
O - This is definitely a top 10 IPA for me. It does everything right and nothing wrong. Big citrus flavor and balanced hop profile make this one tasty. Solid malt presence in just the right quantity. Scary drinkable. Thanks again to Crabbicuss for sending this gem.

The appearance was a opaque golden copper and a nice white head. Smelled very hoppy with slight citrus notes . Taste was very bitter but mellowed as the beer opened up. It had a long finish and great mouth feel.
Overall the beer I enjoyed the beer but do not know if I would purchase again - a little on the bitter side for my taste.

Last of four from a trade with PA-Michigander. Thanks, man! I've enjoyed every ounce to this point, and figured I should give it a review. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a snifter.
A- Pour yields about a pinkie of a creamy off-white head. Held up to the light, this beer is a deep, solid, glowing orange. Some residual lacing. Bubbles continue to rise, feeding the film on top.
S- This bouquet is absolutely splendid. Great balance between a dank, earthy/grassy pine and bright, juicy tropical fruits. Of these fruits, pineapple is the most noticeable. There is some mango and orange zest. I adore the aroma. So well done. Only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because it is a TAD to sweet. But this is damn near perfect.
T- The taste is a lot more dry than I would have guessed judging by the nose. It most certainly retains the bright, fruity flavors found in the nose. The dryness washes everything done leaving a lovely, lingering bitterness on the palette. I'm getting a lot of the same influence that was discerned in the aroma. Maybe just a little more grapefruit here, though. Really tasty.
M- Even for an imperial IPA, this is pretty heavy. Medium mouthfeel with mid-light carbonation. Perhaps a bit too oily for me. It's not offensive. I would just prefer it to be more crisp and clean. Still, not bad.
O- This is an IPA that hangs with the best of them. I say that having had this, Heady, JuJu, and Abrasive within a few days of each other. Freaking awesome. Though I probably hold to a different interpretation of the eschaton than most on this website (and the brewers of this beer), I would not be against drinking this beer when Jesus comes back. Cheers!

Usual snifter on hand to house this puppy.
two can limit at my local shop. excited to try this.
this baby pours a hazy tangerine with a frothy 2 and half finger head. looks delicious.
smells so very juicy. orange, mango, grapefruit. west coast nose.
big grapefruit, resin, pine, with a nice very faint malt to coat an excellent bitterness.
this beer is worth hunting down, if you're a hop head.
