Hard to find brewery (don't look for the sign because its in a strip mall and tucked around back). 4 beers on tap but besides the 4 free 4 ounce samples you get, you can't drink the growlers or cans on the premises. Staff was friendly and they even gave out free Synder's pretzels!

Vibe: DC Brau is divided into two rooms. There are taps in both of them. There are cool games and stuff. There is a giant sticker wall in the front and you get the impression that the people who run DC Brau live, breath and die craft beer. It's on the outskirts of DC, so it's not as crowded as you would expect a brewery this popular to be.

Quality: In my opinion, this is the best brewery in DC.

Service: Some of the best brewery staff. One of my favorite tours (a free tour, at that). Mike, one of the employees, is a "beer historian" and maybe the only person I've met with more knowledge of breweries than myself.

Selection: They have just about every style. No complaints.

I mean the tasting room is pretty much the brewery itself!! Small tasting room but right thru the door into the brewery itself is plenty more tables and spaces to hang out. Had 2 terrific stouts. Anything I have had from these folks has been top notch for sure. A fair amount of cans available that I have not seen in standard circulation. Service was excellent for sure. Their standard line up of Corruption, Citizen etc. Wings of Armageddon on tap never hurts. A hefe and a few other IPAs rounded out the selection...my only complaint was the number of signs about hate speech or bad vibes or personal disrespect. Sure one on the door is fine I do not need to be reminded throughout my visit. I can only imagine they have had problems with this in the past. I'll be back for sure....

Visited this weekend as part of a guys day trip hitting as many breweries as possible in a 12-hour span. So take this review for whats it worth, we were in for a beer and out.

They had 8 offerings on tap. Numerous IPAs, a farmhouse, barrel aged scotch ale, irish stout on nitro and I believe a hefeweizen and a pilsner. The brews were made true to style without anything outlandish about them.

It was Saint Patricks day so that might have added a bit to the pandemonium but in the back room where the larger bar area was, music was blasting and we couldn't even hold a conversation.

Some food was available - again with the St Patty’s day theme but none of us opted for $15 bangers or corned beef.

I had mixed emotions about this stop. Not sure if the exceptional brewery we visited prior raised our expectations too high or what but I dont feel like this is a place id need to visit again. Just about everything they had available could be bought elsewhere without having to go to the source.

You like hoppy beers? You'll find them here. Also, not too far from Harper Macaw Chocolate Factory if you wanna make a day out of your trip here.

Stopped by shortly after the taproom opened on Thanksgiving Eve, so it was empty when I got there but quickly started filling up. Super cool bartender was polite and helpful. He gave me a sample of the ESB, which I hadn't seen before. I ended up getting a growler each of the Corruption, PQP, and ESB, and a half growler of On the Wings of Armageddon.
These guys have legit low prices on growler fills plus weekly specials. Wednesday is educator night- twenty five percent off for teachers. I went to Atlas after this and was very impressed by both.

Small and far from fancy. The phrase "It is what it is." comes to mind. That being said... good beer, great service and a decent atmosphere made for a great time. It was a little like hanging out in a friends garage.

Although I didn't eat anything there was food available outside.

I had a couple of good beers and 2 hours of good conversation before taking a couple of sixes to go. A perfect afternoon!

About as bare bones as it gets, and that's not a complaint. Located on the backside of a strip mall-type location, this place is small and simple. Food seems to be provided by trucks, and the beer list is about 10 in-house selections. Cans are for sale on site. Beers were all good.

Small tasting room at the brewery. Nice staff, nice selection. Ordered the flight of all 8 beers they had, and was generally pleased with all of the beers. The IPAs stuck out as the best stuff for me, but all were very true to style. Picked up a few 6-packs to go. A bit far out on the eastern side of town, so set your GPS if you need to.

Not the best vibe even for an industrial park brewery, but service is pretty good and the beer selection is solid. I haven't had a bad beer from DC Brau and some have been really amazing. They were one of the first locals to mass-produce a NEIPA back when that was just becoming a thing. One of the better "core" beer selections in the area.

Really cool place. Small, unassuming and not exactly ballyhoo worthy from a fancy real estate perspective, but inside the doors its exactly what you'd hope a small brewpub or tasting room would be. Ample seating, deliberate yet not contrived décor and a staff ready to help out in any way. Tastings, pints, growlers and crowlers available of their pretty darn nice lineup of beer. Not horribly difficult to get to, and not exactly in the heart of wicked heavy traffic (if approaching from the east). I'd certainly give it a whirl if you are nearby-ish.

In an industrial park in DC. Location is not in the best area for any type of public transit. I'd recommend getting an uber, lyft or cab to here. There appeared to be a few parking spots in the back, if driving, but not many.

Tasting room was tiny. I'd say 20-30 people in there would make it seem crammed.

Staff was friendly.

Selection was limited, which seems to be a typical complaint about DC Brau.

Overall, decent brewery, but not worth visiting unless they have something special on like On The Wings of Armageddon or Solar Abyss. Most of their other offerings get wide distribution, so just hit up a store in DC.

The place is small and tucked away behind a post office in a not-so-hip part of DC. Not easily metro accessible either, so you need a car. That being said, Friday nights are the best deal in DC with pints for $2.50. The people who work there seem cool and both times I've been I noticed Talking Heads playing on the sound system. Glad to hear DC Brau has good taste in music. There's a little dog named Angus that hangs out in the taproom as well, so don't forget to pet him while you're enjoying your beer. I do wish they served the beer in glass, but I realize they aren't a restaurant or anything so using plastic cups probably makes more sense for them than washing glasses constantly.

The place is a good place to go to if you are in the nation's capital. The selection of beer is good and they offer a flight of 3 samplers (4 oz each) for $5 and full pints for $5. It is located easily off I-295.
