Getting up early and dragging dead fish around all day is a tough gig. That’s why we want to pay homage to the hard working fish mongers down on Baldwin Street. This IPA is big, assertive and full of attitude…not too unlike the surly characters slicing and dicing today’s catch. A wonderfully floral, piney and mildly citrus nose comes by way of an excessive dose of American hops and British ale yeast. The big malt bill achieves a chewy body with a sweet finish. Meant to be enjoyed in moderation, this beer is perfect…anytime.

473ml can from LCBO. Pours misty pale amber with a big frothy whitish head. Aroma; Big piney, citrusy hop load that masks any other elements. Flavour: some citrusy tropical fruit notes - but largy burried under a huge hop load. Some will love this assertive hop forward charachter, I prefer balance and s bitterness that however assertive does not mask the underlying malt character.

As mentioned in the description, this beer does have a 'big malt bill' & the flavours are nice; full creamy bready malts, carbonation level is excellent. The problem is the label calls it an IPA and the hop profile leaves a lot to be desired. The floral, piney, citrus as promised is almost non existent, & the beer winds up tasting like a malty English bitter. Reminds me of Goose Island Rambler IPA in fact, perhaps with even less hop & more malt.

Poured from a 473ml can, best before Jan. 1, 2017.
Pours a deep burnt orange color with decent head and lacing. Biscuity malt at first but followed by a moderate bitterness with flavors of tea-like hops.

has some of the fundamentals of a good IPA, however, it is thoroughly unbalanced, there is no complexity to the flavor, just an overload of hops, which unfortunately for me, isn't enough to justify drinking it again.
