This is an unasuming neighborhood bar in a little shopping center on Fountainview. One of those pseudo British pubs. As I walk in the font door, there is a wrap around bar to the left, couches and chairs to the right, and some TV's. There is also another room of to the left, and the bar continues to wrap around there as well. That section has some pool tables, darts, and other pub games. Also a small patio outside. All fine and good, but a little dingy and grimy for my tastes. The carpet looks like it is about 20 years old and smells of mold.

The service is fine. The bar manager was excited that I was drinking some of the local offerings, and we had a conversation about Saint Arnold and Real Ale.

There are about 40 taps. Plenty of BMC and the like, but also Saint Arnold, Real Ale, DFH, Anchor, Sam Adams, and I think I saw some Stone. Certainly noting to go crazy over, but you should be able to find something decent. I enjoyed the latest Moveable Yeast from SA, and the Real Ale ESB. The quality is not bad, just nothing really moves fast here. There are plenty of micros and other beer that just sits around. Frosted Imperial Pints as well.

Overall, just so so. I will most likely not make this one of my regular stops, but good to see more bars in Houston having better options. The place just needs a little cleaning up.
