12 craft taps. Web site does not match what is on tap but is up to date on bottle selection of about 40 craft beers. Drafts are split with about four taps local breweries like Dogfish head, and Mispillion River and the other eight a good selection of current craft beers. They have a five 4 oz flight available if you want to sample the beers on tap. They have a bartenders flight or you can custom build a flight.
They specialize in burgers but have a selection of other foods available like pasta and seafood. The food is good and the service excellent. One of the better places in the Dover, DE area to find craft beer and have a good meal.

I went to Restaurant 55 for the first time on 5 September, 2014. I walked away very impressed.

Food - The burgers are the main menu item and they don't disappoint. Many different choices, toppings etc. Fresh made with fresh rolls, buns etc. Excellent job. I will be trying other things on the menu.

Beer - It looks like around 10-12 taps that are all craft and they seemed to rotate. I had a Sixpoint Tesla which is available on draft only so I was happy to find it. Lots of locals from DFH, Fordham and Mispillion River. Probably around another 30-40 can/bottle craft offerings from many of the breweries distributed in DE. If you visit with a non-craft friend they do have BMC and Pabst available in bottles/cans.

Atmosphere - Doesn't look like much from the outside but it is very nice in the inside. Not a lot of seating but they did a good job. On Friday it was packed. Be prepared for a wait. Descent size bar with stools at the bar and railing seating the opposite side of the bar.

Service - Friendly and fast considering the amount of people.

Price - For two burgers a Sixpoint Tesla and a DFH Festina Peche was around $30. Well worth it.

So far this place has the best beer list I have found in Dover. It will be on the rotation regularly. It also helps it is about a 3 minute drive from my house. If you are in Dover area and are looking for a beer and good food visit Restaurant 55.

Have driven past here twice and missed it. Not at all what I expected upon entering. Very black and white and art deco looking. Long bar behind a shoulder height wall. Around 30 tables in the dining room where we sat. I had read about them for their burgers but they had a great looking and somewhat eclectic menu for sure. The waitress said they make everything themselves preety much except the ketchup!

Very nice selection considering the area. 12 taps and around 50 bottles. nothing over the top draft wise-plenty of locals from DFH, EVO, Fordham and some Southern Tier and others thrown in for good measure.

I had The Lunch Counter Legend burger-basically a patty melt. Just killer. Handcut fries came with.

A great experience all in for sure. I will be back to try some of the other menu items and have a beer when in the area.
