Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

A thanks to woodychandler for another canned beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a cloudy tannish color with a 1 inch head. Smell is hoppy, pines. Taste is also very hoppy, pine, very bitter a bit unbalanced for my liking. There is some fruit flavor at the finish, a bit melon like. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a mediocre beer.

Clear, almost translucent copper and brass color mix. One finger of head and a little, spotty film of foam after a few sips. OK bubbling.

Toasted orange and grapefruit zest with a little biscuit and cracker malt.

A little syrupy mouthfeel. Bitterness from start to finish. The bitterness lingers and develops from a grapefruit rind bitterness to almost tinny. There is a little malty sweetness in teh front and middle of the flavor profile, but a whisper at best.

Glad I tried this beer, but won't buy again.

Pint size can served in a FFF pint glass. Purchased at a local Binny's. Canned within a week or two.

A: Pours a clear amber color with a finger of pure white head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly to thick ring. Some soapy lace is left behind.

S: Mostly bitter pine with some light grassy notes a slightly sweet malty body.

T: Very bitter hops up front. It does mix with the sweetness of the malts for the beginning, but the malt body fades quickly and you're left with raw hop bitterness, some grass and light pine needle flavor.

M: Medium bodied with lower than average carbonation. It not the best going down, but it does have a lightness on the finish. The hops just really attack palate.

O: This was pretty run of the mill, the body of the beer being slightly imbalanced and dominated by more of a bitter and pine hop presence in a raw form. I would definitely pass over this for other beers and if I need I cans I've got Daisy Cutter at my disposal for $2 less for a four pack.

A - pours a cloudy orange with a deep amber center. A fingers worth of bubbly yet quickly dissolving head.

S - aroma is lots of caramel malt base with hints of toasted nuts. tropical fruit esters add to the already sweet character. Mango, papaya, and pineapple all comes together with a touch of grass and a hint of tobacco smoke.

T- Sweet caramel malt which is busted up by bold grapefruit bitterness and sweet orange peel. Pine needles are abundant. Both flavors dominate and linger long after the finish.

M - lighter side of medium bodied. Creamy texture. Medium carbonation.

O - an average ipa. Gave it a bit of a bump due to the difference in nose and flavor which was a nice surprise.

A: Pours a golden orange in color with a tiny bit of transparency, left a tiny off white head at the top with slight lacing around the glass as you drank this brew.

S: Citrus and earthy right off the bat with a nice malt and hop note as well.

T: Well balanced with a good mixture of hops and malts, lots of bitterness though, a weird earthy taste that I was not a fan of.

M: Medium carbonation and with medium body, sligth watery taste on the tail end.

O: Overall not impressed wtih this beer, didnt have a great taste, just very dull, although it was well balanced I have had better Ipa's before.
